Uwe Rosler has revealed that it was Alex Mowatt who was the injury doubt for Saturdays draw against Brenford. The midfielder will now be assessed ahead of Tuesday night’s visit of Ipswich Town.

Mowatt was replaced at half time by Antenucci, who went on to score the equaliser.

Rosler commented : “I wanted to bring another striker on but that was not the reason I took Alex Mowatt off,”

“He was the player who was doubtful before the game. “At some point I had to substitute him and I decided to do it early on.

“It wasn’t because the player had not played well, I think he was one of the players who linked well and gave us momentum at the start of the game.

“He looked dangerous in the final third but he had a certain issue before the game. “We’ll see now how he reacts now overnight and how he is for Tuesday night.”

New signing Jordan Botaka will probably start an u21's game today before deciding whether to chuck in in at the deep end tomorrow.

Is Wood strong enough to lead the line himself? Brenford had conceded 8 goals in 4 league games (as well as 4 in the Cup against Oxford) before Saturdays? Listening to the half time report as I raced home from work (very hard working estate agent) you would have thought that we were playing against a Premier ship team!

    Should Botaka start?

Is it fair that Ipswich have had an extra day to recover (from their mauling at Reading)?

Who suspects Ipwich will come back fighting, perhaps at Leeds expense?

Surely Mick McCarthy will make big changes to their starting line up.

Morning all. Impossible to predict Ipswich result as with all others. Cant say should Botaka start as no one has seen him. One big positive though from Saturdays game is the fact we didnt throw in the towel. In the end, it was a point gained compared to what we'd have done in previous seasons. It will be interesting to see what sort of reaction Rosler can get from them

Need to convert these draws into wins soon! Morning all. Anyone else watching this is England? I have loved all the series so far, and love there take on the 90s so far.

Back on topic, Murphy to come in for Mowatt or Ante to start? Hes been unlucky not to, but Rosler seems to love the 4-3-3

Good morning to Matt and co from a very foggy Bardsey
I hope he has the balls to drop both Byram and Mowatt for tomorrowByram has been awful this season we should have sold him now we would be lucky to get a !M for him
I would start with both Antenucci and Murphy because their defence is very suspect

Rosler needs to use a system that suits the players and not stick to his fav 433. If Murphy and Ant dont start tomorrow Cellino needs to have a word in his ear! I've succumbed and ordered my ticket for Ipswich, as its a night match i can leave the kids at home (school in the morning) so that saves me some money. If Byram starts he needs to up his game or be rested for a while. Would like to see Botaka on the bench and get a little game time if possible but i suspect as Elland says he will play for the under 21s so Rosler can have a look at him.

Morning all, I always feared we wouldn't score enough goals and that fear hasn't changed.

I wasn't expecting promotion this year so I am okay with how things have gone so far, I do fear though that it could all change in just a week as I do believe Cellino expects more.

A defeat or two in the next week and Cellino might lose patience, wield the axe and who knows what chain reaction that will set off. We need that second win against Ipswich and surprised we played Mowatt if he wasn't 100% and it wasn't as if we hadn't got a better replacement sitting on the bench.

No Wood isn't good enough to lead the line on his own but unless we play two up front we haven't got much of an option. Wood isn't a prolific scorer but we haven't the money or pulling power to obtain a ready made one.

    Morning all,

This 4-4-3 doesn't suit Byram, not his fault but no way is he a roaming midfielder. He's useful at RW though covering RB.

Berardi has proved himself to be solid and consistent at RB so Byram's going to have to be patient and sit on the bench. Or we switch to 4-4-2 with Byram on the right of midfield and Antenucci alongside Wood, which seems to be the best formation for us at the moment.

Got to agree with Ristac, Rosler has stated that Mowatt was carrying an injury, but still played him!!! well there are a couple of things spring to mind.
    1. Has he made that injury worse?
    2. The players on the bench who are fit, shall start to loose moral and respect for the Manager/coach wtf they call them these days.

It is important that Rosler has to bag 3 points against Ipswich, otherwise there may be a bit of disbelief start to creep in among some sections of supporters.

I'm going to take a chance and go for a draw, although obviously we could really do with a win.

As for Mowatt, his injury is nothing to the pain i'm in today <laugh>

I think like most others I would bring in Murphy for Mowatt. Thought it before the Brentford game, Mowatt hasn't been effective enough this season so far imo. and its always good to remind players they will drop out of the team if they aren't performing. I would drop Byram as well but I doubt Botaka will slot right in at this stage, especially if he will be playing in an U21's game first. So for now I don't see another option out wide. I would persist with the 4-3-3 personally though.

Botaka defo starting for the under 21s and not involved tomorrow. Lets hope he makes an impression.
Edited to say coach Rob Kelly just said they are not ruling out involving Botaka tomorrow after all. Seems Phil Hay may have jumped the gun there.

Afternoon Mike, I like Murphy as a player.... Ant needs to start too. Why not bench Wood. He shouldn't be guaranteed a starting place
