In recent weeks the Rams have beaten the Wendies, Canaries and Forest as well as earning a credible 0-0 draw at the Cardiff City Stadium. They currently sit two places and 1 point behind the Whites. Liam Cooper misses out due to a dead leg which he picked up last week against the Blunts. Borthwick-Jackson is still having treatment on his ankle whilst Berardi and Kalvin Phillips are both suspended. Derby County have no new injury worries following their win over the Canaries. But forward Johnny Russell is likely to remain sidelined with the groin injury that forced him to miss the 2-1 victory at Carrow Road. Match facts Leeds are unbeaten in four home league games against Derby (W2 D2) and won 1-0 last season courtesy of a Chris Wood header. The Rams haven't lost back-to-back league matches against the Whites since August 2004 on the opening day of the 2004/05 Championship season. United have won 23 points from their opening 14 matches - their best points tally at this stage of a season since the 2009/10 League One campaign (33) - a season which saw them achieve promotion. Matej Vydra has won more penalties (2) and netted more spot-kicks (3) than any other player in the Championship so far this season. Derby are unbeaten in six Championship games - a run of three draws followed by three successive victories, keeping three clean sheets in the process.
I cant link it but there is a piece on the yep where our cock of a coach has explained how we need to score the first goal to win games. Can someone link it for me my ipad is refusing to do it. Apart from the worryingly obvious nature of his statement it basically indicates that if we concede first we are not strong enough to come back. Whilst its patently true I fail to see how by saying it he improves confidence in the team. Hopefully tonight is his last game. He is totally out if his depth.
No I can get the thought provoking banter and the alternate view but this bilge talk about the team we support has got to have a more profound reason to exist - hasn't it ?
When Leeds Utd journo Lee Sobot revealed that Pennington was going to be present alongside TC at yesterday's presser, the Leeds fans weren't happy!!! please log in to view this image Lee Sobot @LeeSobotYEP Matthew Pennington joining Thomas Christiansen for the pre-Derby County press conference today, 12.30pm at Thorp Arch. #lufc please log in to view this image paul warrick (LUFC) @paulwarrick3 If nobody asks him about that 1st 2mins you're not doing ya job guys. You know, like all of us, I want Leeds to win tonight but if they don't , I will still support the team. I always have done and always will.
It's the boy who cried wolf all over again. The phrase 'less is more' seems beyond his comprehension - assuming he is indeed trying to make a point.
Whilst glory might play the pantomime villain, it's as well to keep a dose of realism. As I always say at this point of the season look at the points rather than position and the reality is we are more points behind 2nd than we are ahead of 14th (or to make it worse the same number of points the wallies are behind us). Big game this, I'm nervous about it as usual but TC and the team need to show they can end this slump and theses aren't results we need to get used too for the season. Morning by the way.
good morning To WJ yes I can't believe you are up! and Matt and co from a dull Bardse Tonight will be a real test Derby have found form after a poor start They have probably got the second best manager In Rowett in this league.Rowatt has got rid of some excellent players Will Hughes and Ince and brought more experienced players in I would make Pontus captain and drop Pennington for Shaugnessey Klitch to replace Phillips
We have three tough games in front of us, starting with Derby tonight we need to get behind the team especially at home and TC needs to get them working as a unit again, I must admit he is not coming across well and his interviews are a bit shabby let’s see how tonight goes, I would surprise all of you and play Dallas at LB, I am sure he would fit in well, thoughts gents.
Morning Glory. Something tells me we will win comfortably tonight. I'm going for a 3-0 Leeds and a nice Chinese takeaway with a few beers.
