Peltier has done really well and our defence has been solid with him as wing-back. Are we weaker with Byram? I know he provides a better forward play, but do we lose out defensively with him? Should we use Byram as the Right Midfielder in a 442 with Peltier behind? The loss of Brown replaced by a kid also suggests we are less solid. If we are going to have kids playing - which I fully agree with - do we need to accept that this team will be a few seasons away from being experienced and strong enough to compete for promotion? That will come, as long as we keep those kids. But in the meantime, I can't see us threatening week-in week-out and controlling matches.
Merry Christmas lads looking at your scoreline has reminded me to take the tree down it always comes down after christmas
It hasn't suddenly gone wrong, we have been playing bottom half teams for the past two months, now we are playing teams around us in the top half and we are getting caught and found out. Cut off McCormack and teams know they have a chance of winning, we do not score enough goals from the midfield. Byram and Mowatt in or out of the team, we have been playing poor for a while now. We dropped points at home to Watford - Watford who have won ONE game against Millwall in their last 12 games, we couldn't score against the bottom team Barnsley and Blackpool stole points if you consider they have something like one win in 10 games. NOTHING has changed, just the rose tinted glasses are falling off a few peoples noses now
Sheldon I agree with a good youth policy but we need to get some DECENT experienced players in to the side. It's all good bringing in the likes of Smith, Wooton, Murphy, Ariyibi (All under the age of 25) but we need to bring in decent experience in this month. Hell O'Leary had Viduka, Fowler, Radebe, Matteo, Kelly and Martyn to play along side the like of Harte, Smith and Ferdinand
