Half time, 0-1 against the run of play according lto Radio Wales. Birmingham losing, Wednesday 0-0, but Ipswich have leapt above us and with a game in hand. Prediction up the spout. Hmmm, could all turn around in the second half...here's hoping! :emoticon-0103-cool:

I f**king hate Leeds, ref was shocking, shouldn't have lost that in a month of Sundays, how one of theirs wasn't sent off for one of the plethora of two footed studs up challenges, definite hand ball in the area. Absolutely fuming with that. F**king Leeds scum

Quite happy with City's performance to be fair. Can't fault the effort and desire in the 2nd half even if they should have made it count in the 1st.

Leeds keeper was sublime. Darren Deadman lost control.

Just got in ! Cracking game I thought. Some great football , some sloppy play and a simply oustanding display of goalkeeping from Foristieri. I rarely clap the opposition but the save from Zohore near the end was as good as ive seen.

Nights like this are what the Championship is all about. Loved the game. Gutted we lost but the fans reaction said it all. Cheered off. Just wasnt our night. Should have won easily but you dont always get what you deserve.

Thought the red card was correct and I cant say I saw a Leeds player deserve one.

If we play week in week out like that we will win far more than we lose and the fans will be entertained. Far better than some of the early season rubbish.

    Agree completely with Hilts assessment.
Me and the Mrs were saying how much we enjoyed the game despite the ****ty result.
Felt like a bit of a watershed moment for the fans and the side. To be cheered off after losing 2-0 is not a common occurrence. We've all watched the game long enough to know it was just one of those nights.

Fair play to Slade and the players they chucked the kitchen sink at Leeds. Their centre halves and keeper were immense. Ralls and o keef is a pairing that can take us out of this division. It'll just probably take another season to do it.

Oh and Ameobi can **** off back to Geordie land whenever he's ready.

Entertaining football in this division im more than happy with.

Lets face it weve been battered in the past and Marshall has saved us. Tonight we were on the other end of a superb keeping display.

Agreed it was entertaining and I know you can't turn the clock back but KWJ would have knocked in at least 2 of those chances in the last 10 minutes - and I was never a fan of his.

In the first half in particular our movement was superb but I worried that for all our domination if we didn't score then Leeds would come into the game. I didn't see who went walkabout but who disappeared leaving them with one on one for their first after we had a corner at their end. Fabio I suspect judging by the 60 yard run he made to get back to cover only to deflect the ball past Marshall - their only shot of note in the first half. I know Connolly got dispossessed and they played a great ball through but why was Malone left on his own?

Fabio's first booking was not a yellow. It was in front of us and he got the ball. There was a tangle of legs and their player made the most of it as did most of their team in surrounding Deadman for the second yellow. That was a yellow, albeit a soft one as he didn't get the ball - the damage was done by the first incorrect one.

Leeds were clever in taking off Bridcutt and Mowatt before they got a second yellow - both were in danger of getting one by the way they flew into tackles.

As for Deadman he was appalling. I thought he had history with us so checked his record. He had reffed us 5 times before from 2010 to 2013. We won 2 and drew 3. He does get his yellow card out a lot. However, while I recall all of the games I can't see or remember anything specific about him other than his name. Interestingly he has now officiated in 6 games with us - all at home.

Their keeper, Silvestri, was MOM without a doubt. The stats say we had 25 shots with 10 on target of which at least 6 brought world class saves especially the one from Zohore's header. Why, oh why, can't he and manga head the ball down rather than at a saveable height?

A good game with most of our players putting in a creditable performance but nevertheless a very disappointing night.

A result is now needed on Saturday if we want to stay in contention for the playoffs. With Fabio suspended, unless Peltier is fit (unlikely) then Connolly will go to right back, Morrison to centre back and the only other fit defender we have is Oshilaja. Looking a bit sparse at the back - recall for Declan maybe?

Why wait until he is ready, send him packing now. However much we are paying him it is a waste of money. Ranking as poorly as Zaha and Morrison as a loan signing - but with many more opportunities.

Sorry Hilts but that's the way I see it. He's a butterfly who decorates the game but with little substance.

You can question Fabio's first card but he knew he had it. The 2nd challenge was idiotic. I haven't seen the replay but like you BFB I suspect Fabio was out of position for the first goal. In truth at most points during the game Fabio is out of position defensively and depends on his pace and diving in to get out of trouble. He's energetic and can be very exciting to watch he's obviously in a different league attacking wise compared to our other full backs. On the wrong day he's a complete liability, yesterday Fabio was a liability and it could easily be argued he cost us the game.

The only thing wrong with that game was the result. Apart from that, it was the sort of performance that would have seen us challenging for an auto spot right now had we put it together earlier in the season. The Brighton game had the right result but that last night was arguably a better game from us as a team.

On the face of it and given the other results last night, it seems like a huge chance missed, but play like that for the last 10 games and we can overhaul Sheff Wed and maybe even a stumbling Derby - we've still got to play both.

Don't want to criticise any of the players nor Slade. Fair play he played the attacking options off the bench - but somehow I have to agree that Ameobi needn't be here - he's not the right sort for a battle in this division.

The Ipswich game Saturday is going to be massive and deserves a 20K crowd after last night.
