Leeds made it three wins from four games last weekend and are finishing the season with some form at least. Brian McDermott will want one last good result at Elland Road before the soap opera of a summer starts. Derby are guaranteed third spot, giving them the easiest playoff semi-final draw, and Steve McClaren may rest some key players for this fixture. Five wins in a row bodes well for the Rams going into the playoffs. Historically Leeds have the upper hand, though Derby have dominated the recent fixtures with a run of 10 straight wins in all competitions. However, this one could depend entirely on what team McClaren puts out. Derby won the reverse fixture earlier in the season, with a comfortable 2 goal cushion, and many wouldn't bet against a similar result if the strongest team plays here. It could be a last chance to see many of the Leeds squad at Elland Road, along with the manager, and that won't necessarily be viewed as a bad thing by the majority of the home support. Leeds Wins 42 Draws 23 Derby 32

Leeds Form Derby Form

W 1 - 3 Birmingham Watford 4 - 2 W Last Game

L 0 - 2 Nottm Forest Barnsley 2 - 1 W 3 - 1

W 0 - 1 Barnsley Doncaster 0 - 2 W Derby Win

W 2 - 0 Blackpool Huddersfield 3 - 1 W 05/10/13 - Pride Park

L 3 - 0 Watford Blackpool 1 - 3 W

Top Scorers Current Position

Leeds Ross McCormack...28 Matt Smith...11 Rodolph Austin...3 Derby Chris Martin...20 Craig Bryson...16 Johnny Russell...9

Team P W D L GD Pts

3 Derby 45 25 9 11 +32 84

15 Leeds 45 16 8 21 -8 56

Team News Damned's Starting XI

Leeds please log in to view this image El Hadji Diouf (Out) please log in to view this image Jimmy Kébé (Doubtful) please log in to view this image Patrick Kenny (Doubtful) please log in to view this image Alex Mowatt (Doubtful) please log in to view this image Sam Byram (Doubtful) Alex Mowatt won't need surgery though he is unlikely to be risked in a nothing game at the end of the season, similarly with Sam Byram. So there's a huge chance Derby will keep up normal service and win this one at a canter, however I think McClaren will be too wary of injuries going into the playoffs and will rest a number of players. Ross is determined to get to 30 goals for the season, and that might just be enough to spur us on to an unlikely win here. The home crowd will be in party mode (not celebrating a bottom half finish, celebrating the seasons' end!) and the noise will be terrific. For my team, it's pretty much the same as I've been naming in recent weeks, just with Pugh in at left back if Warnock is still nursing an injury - and Brown in the middle for Mowatt.

Have Your Say Come on then, one last time! Another fine match thread Dammed. I think with a potentially massive crowd behind us for the final game of the season AND Derby possibly resting players, I can see Leeds winning this 3-1, especially given that som players will want one last chance to show why they should be retained. On who should play, there's nothing on the game for either side. Derby will end up 3rd regardless of the result, and we could conceivably go up one place. So I hope BPD includes a few kids at least on the bench. I'd like to see Dawson in CM in a creative role to see what he can do.
Well done Damned. Im going to get stick for this but hoping we dont win this one. If we do, it will cloud the McD situation in my opinion. Hell be able to shout about four wins in five since the takeover. The truth is we beat rubbish outfits and Derby have nothing to play for and may even rest a shed load of players. The first phase of the clear out must start with McD followed by his crew of overpaid wasters, journeymen and lazy bar stewards
Hope we don't win ? Shame on you Eire ! Seriously though I don't think Cellino will be worried about one game, he'll rate McD on his overall performance. We need to win this so that the Derby lot can't keep going on about 10 in a row.
Yaaaaay last game of the season and we can start to concentrate on a bright future for next season hopefully but let's end on a high with a 2-1 home victory...well, we have to be positive don't we
Cheers Boggers Would be good to see Dawson get a run out. Won't be on the forum much for this one as I'm ripping out a bathroom this morning, but I'll post whatever link I end up using
Cmon City. Oops sorry, wrong forum. Just getting ready for an important game this evening with Everton when hopefully my pool fans will have their silence of the last week extended permanently
I can't understand why anyones surprised. That team we have on the pitch today, and all season, is a mid table League 1 team with the best striker in Championship on it. Simple as
Indeed Eire. All we need is a pacey winger to provide a few bullets as well as some pace at the back and a creative midfielder. Makings of a decent team
