Elland Road - K.O 15:00

It's the season of good cheer for Leeds! No, not because of results, they've been appalling and carried on with a needless 2-1 defeat against Bradford in the League Cup through the week. But the Hock has left the building. Booted out by Cellino, he brought the experiment to an end and Neil Redfearn has been tasked with steadying the ship in the meantime.

Last weekend saw Leeds thrashed 4-1 and reduced to 9 men against Watford, and points are needed against visitors Bolton this weekend. The Wanderers have had an even worse start to the league season than Leeds, and are still searching for a win. They might just fancy their chances at Elland Road after watching previous performances there this season however. Leeds old boy and fan favourite Jermaine Beckford will be pushing for a starting berth after his two extra time goals midweek sent Bolton through against Crewe.

Historically there is nothing at all between the two sides, and the spoils have been shared almost equally across the last 6 matches. Leeds will be hoping there isn't a repeat of Bolton's last visit however, an embarrassing 5-1 thrashing, though only 4 (Warnock, Murphy, Austin, Wooton) of the starting 11 from the day are still at the club.

Berardi should have recovered from his midweek concussion to step into the RB berth with Sam Byram suspended. New signing Casper Sloth may get a start in the absence of the suspended Luke Murphy and Matt Smith and Nicky Ajose will also be hoping for a chance.

Bolton

Dougie Freedman has the pick of his squad with no absences at the minute. Two Leeds old boys Andy Lonergran and Jermaine Beckford will be hoping to play, while McNaughton should return at RB.

Key Stats

• There have been under 2.5 goals scored in Leeds's last 6 home games in Championship.
• There have been over 2.5 goals scored in Bolton's last 6 games in Championship.
• Bolton have conceded at least 2 goals in their last 5 matches in Championship.
• Bolton have failed to win their last 5 matches in Championship.

Despite a poor midweek showing, and last weekend again, I think that with a change in setup we should win this one. Bolton had a long 120 minutes in the Cup this week, and are low in confidence. The turnaround for Leeds starts here!

4-4-2! No Diamonds! Thanks to suspensions the back 4 nearly picks itself. We still struggle with width in the middle though. I've gone for Ajose and Sloth (out of position) with Bianchi and Austin in the middle, with the hopes one of Cook / Dawson / Mowatt get a run out as well.

Cheers <ok>

Apparently mods can close polls at any time, any chance you could close this one about an hour before kick off tomorrow? (if you are around of course!)

Morning all. Good match thread as ever. Definitely like the look of that team. Really hope we go 442 with someone playing out wide. We need width. We need Smith as a target for crosses. And we need some steel. Austin put your hand up. We also need the players to step up, continue to play proper footy and make it that bit harder for Cellino to bring in someone else immediately to take over from Redfearn.

Leeds to win 2-0

Isn't Bellusci eligible, having served a one-match ban against Bradford?

Super thread, thanks LiD .. I'd play Bellusci and Cooper at CB and bring Taylor in at left back ... come on, let the good times roll

Well done damned, good work as usual. I dont have a lot of confidence in tomorrow being much different to recent results. Not sure Redfern can change much with 48 hours in charge. Hopeful next couple of weeks will be the game changers

Great match thread as always.

Personally, I'd play a 5 man midfield with Ajose and Antenucci providing the width and Sharp up front. Smith still isn't good enough to start imo. but definitely could add something off the bench

I agree about the back 4 Taylor Cooper Bellusci and Beradi

its the midfield which needs working out but I would play Sloth and Bianchi
Front pairing Smith and Sharpe

No point playing smith if the midfield/fullbacks don't drive forwards and put some early balls in. No more of this slow build up across the back four. We arnt good enough to break down marshalled defences. We need to be up and at em.

Get into em, **** up em up!

Think beradi is out due to concussion got in training. It's one of the Italians anyway, mightn't be him, all sound same to me

Its Sharp.. (one of my hates is just blatantly misspelling footballer's names and for some reason everyone spells his name wrong) and also think I'd prefer to play Antenucci or someone like that if we were to go 4-4-2, lets get our link-up playing going properly, Smith isn't capable of that.

Without Hockaday in charge I am hoping for a change in selection and formation, a must win game so 2 - 0 to Leeds United

Can only see a Bolton win today - lumped on accordingly and at 2-1 they are an absolute steal <ok>

Bolton 3-0 @ 28/1
Bolton 4-0 @ 70/1
Bolton to win 5-0 125/1
If they get 6 or more or Leeds get another lucky own goal I will be cursing <ok>
Beckford to score a hattrick 30/1
Bolton to win by more than 2 12/1
