It seems that while Blackburn are run away leaders for the coveted "Most Manager's in one season award" Leeds United have taken giant steps to securing the "Most owners in one season award" after their new owners have published that they are looking to sell. Obviously this doesn't come as a major surprise or is even new News but an interesting topic none the less. Here is the news snippet: (Reuters) - The Middle Eastern owner of Leeds United has signalled that it is in talks to sell the former English Premier League soccer club it bought only in December. Accounts published last month by GFH Capital's parent, Bahrain firm Gulf Finance House show that the new owner is preparing a swift exit. It added that it had begun negotiations related to the sale of its stake since the end of last year. You can't help but smile at this even though it is clearly a major concern that club ownership is becoming so flaky.
I reckon we'll be having new ownership in the not too distant future, just hope its someone who knows what they are getting into this time.
There will always be that niggling doubt about ME's ownership but I think the way he has handled himself and the managerial appointments/sackings it makes me believe that he is in it for the long haul. He certainly has some unfinished business and unless anything drastic changes then I can see him still being here in 10 years time.
I've just got a bad feeling that the For Sale boards will be up in the summer. If there is a lack of investment then I feel my fears will be confirmed. All in my own opinion ofcourse!
