Well after that cup tie, where many clearly didn't do what was required of them, we entertain Leeds. I thought Leeds were improving, and they are unbeaten in 8 before people start thinking this is a routine 2-0 home win. We're struggling massively at home - vs Pompey at one point our possession was 29% vs their 71%. Now I wasn't at the game, and teams can have needless possession ( see Man Utd, kings of pathetic needless ball retention always and vs Sheff Utd had their first shot on target on 65 mins or so ). Infact, they have gone TEN games at Old Trafford in a row without scoring first half. That's quite unbelievable. We struggle massively at Portman Road at present, and with us entertaining Leeds then Preston that's a very good opportunity to get 6/6 and really push on. Wendy entertain Bolton Tuesday so if we don't win, then they will go 6th. I have a feeling this will be a draw. 1-1. Home woes to continue. Quite certain we'll beat Preston, but think Leeds ( u wot u wot ) will prove a difficult nut to crack. Thoughts? Line ups?
We are as dull as **** but grind out results, we will win, hopefully we will stuff those ****ers as I can't ****ing stand them. Bunch off moronic hooligans and down right bloody nasty.
Morning Tractor Boys. Feel free to join in our match thread. Be great to get your opinions. http://www.not606.com/threads/the-breakfast-debate-ipswich-town-v-leeds-utd.320496/ MOT
BBC Source: Ipswich have completed just 61.8% of their passes this season; a Championship low. Does this show what hoofers this club has become?
Anything over 50% is probably considered a result by MM,suspect the stats don't include Knudssen's long throws though
I believe we were brutal against POMPEY ) ( in fact so bad Mick nearly laughed it off and praised the players for their never say die attitude!! Anyway hopefully improve tonight and end Leeds recent good run// Come on Town
I also have a devil of a job saying anything positive about Leeds United either. I did attend Leeds v Crewe when Crewe won 2-0 in the 04/05 season I believe, and had no issues at all in the home end it was good fun. Then again, I was at the 1-1 game when Lee scored late and it was quite ugly scenes that day. I will say it's a minority, but there is more than a handful of idiots at Elland Road that ruin it. Your away support is second to none and you deserve better - I'm wary about tonights game, you're unbeaten in 8 so it's a right test of our credentials. You've spent over £4 mill in the summer on fees alone, should be doing better. That said, I like our line up. COYB!
what the heck..... 12 secs...is that a record. Just the start we need! A bit of a defining match this...after a good run.
