Bit of a scrappy game, not the best football, and you could see we were missing Saiz. Hull started off like an express train and began attacking our goal while giving our players a bit of a fright and a firm size 14 up their arses. After a short while we began to settle and did some attacking of our own, and during the early parts of the first half both teams had their chances untill, Santa gifted Pablo with a beautifull Christmas gift that could never be scripted. With the game ebbing and flowing the Hull keeper collected a back pass from his defender, his attempt to kick the ball to one of his midfielders fell short and Pablo intervened by stopping the pass, running a couple of steps forward and beautifully lobbed the keeper with slide rule precision to make it 1-0 to Leeds. I don't think Pablo could've wished for a better Christmas present more adequately wrapped, and presented to him by the Hull keeper, it was very thoughtfull and generous of him. I don't understand why Pablo kisses his biceps after scoring, he ain't got none. Halftime Leeds went in with the 1-0 lead. During the break TC made a substitution, O'kane on for Phillips.....Bloody Nora, I nearly fell off my chair and spilt my cup of tea. After giving it some thought, Phillips must've been running himself ragged and TC thought he'd run out of energy and needed to be rested; can only be the only explanation cos I hardly saw him or heard his name during first half. Second half saw us come out playing better football, not a lot, but enough to keep Hull at bay and create a few more chances on their goal. As the game drew to a close, Hull seemed to step up a gear and began putting more pressure on our goal as they looked for the equaliser, they were certainly winning it in midfield as they continuously built up play to lay assault after assault on our goal however, it was to no avail as we have a very good solid defense and a keeper who likes keeping clean sheets. Full time saw Leeds come out 1-0 winners and collecting all 3 points, and a move into 5th place thanks to a 2-2 draw between Aston Villa and Sheff U, we can also thank Bolton for the favour by beating Cardiff, which leaves us only 8 points behind Cardiff, and they're catchable. Stats show we had 5 shots at goal with only 3 on target, which shows what a scrappy game, on both sides it was. Hull had 55% of possession, 15 shots at goal with 4 on target. 35,000 fans turned up at ER for the game, maybe Radz should ask'em to wear a scarf before every game. Enjoy...... You didn’t actually, saw it last night but thought it would be childish to point it out. It would be like Leeds of London getting pulled up over number of games in a dig at Chippy by someone it had nothing to do with. Not that it would happen on here because there is no malice is there???
