Looking ahead to the League fixture on 22 October, 12pm k.o.
Now me & a couple of mates have decided this season to visit a few away grounds as we are a bit fed up with Bates fleecing us for our money at Elland road, I wont go into the boring politics, but you can imagine what its like having a chairman like that!
To cut to the chase, where is the best place to park & are there any decent (neutral) pubs near the ground? (We aren't thugs before you ask!!)
    Thanks for any sensible feedback.

P.S. Nice win last week by the way. Proves money doesnt buy success, but dont tell Bates that!

On 606 people always used to recommend Charters for a nice neutral pub. From the ground, head towards the city centre and it's the boat on the left when you reach the bridge. I'm an out of town Posh fan so can't comment personally.

As for parking, there's a big p&d just before Charters I think.

Maybe a local can confirm these.

Charters is fine, there is also The Cherry Tree on Oundle Rd which is a used by both sets of fans and is problem free. There is no parking at the ground at present so the best place is a pay and display car park also on Oundle Rd located perfectly between Charters and The Cherry Tree

Ah not looking forward to the Away match then if you're gonna sting us 37 quid! Worse than West Ham. You need to realise you're in the Championship now, not the Prem! My mate pays less to watch Arsenal (admittedly the smaller games but still).

YNBK, we might have to meet up, as I've also managed to get a ticket for the game. Any idea how far the ground is from the railway station?

Ground is about 10 - 15 min walk depending on your speed.

As you cross the bridge Charters is a boat on the river .... welcoming pub for away fans who like a friendly banter

Safe journey .... but we would like the 3 points please

Hi OLOF .... long time no speak !
