To be honest, I think this guy talks a lot of sense..... However it's now even more apparent the cheque book is closed, how they think they will obtain promotion without investing is frankly short sighted..

I will back Jimmy next year, but we need some serious investment in the squad to be able to compete.

Really disappointed in this approach from the club, I'd rather we throw some money at it, get promoted then start this sustainable format

As it stands when Fernandes pulls out we are up sh1.t creek

FFP doesn't come into it now, having pissed £250 million into the wind and still paying silly wages to greedy leeches who won't leave 'investment' in the team is the last thing on their minds. As I've said before one day in the not too distant future we'll have the plug pulled on us and that's when the sh*t will hit the fan...

The thing that worries me is the:
In fact, Rs have the long game in mind when Premier League parachute payments run out in 2018, and when the club must depend on its own streams of revenues for survival.
So are they saying they are not even considering a promotion?

Mentally I'm already prepared for a long spell in the Championship

I'm not unhappy about this as for me sustainability of the club is key, and I fear a major financial meltdown if the club throws money around in an attempt to get promoted

Unlike some on here I've never viewed the Premier League as the holy grail - I actually enjoy the variety of the Championship. Maybe I'm just a bit mad
