Yes, I know one swallow doesn't make a summer and all that, but wasn't it lovely to see that goal go in? Lee has been so unlucky, and it would be great to see us start to get a return from a clearly talented young player.

Now got 5 hours to drive home, and will really enjoy the drive after that result, with one of my current favourites (Guly) scoring again. Not to mention Rickie lad looking sharp ...

Lovely jubbly

He was very deserving IMO, he has impressed in the cup

He's had his problems with injury, and it was good to see that goal go in - the return of lee holmes fit and proper IMO

shows that we hve lot of competition for places on the wing

It was great to him come on and score. Such a talented player who's been beleaguered with injuries. I'm sure Nigel's experience of being a physio is helping him stay fit.

Would love to see Lee Holmes stay fit and do well for us....seems a good lad who has done loads of work in the community....appearance and goal today will have given his confidence a great boost.

You won't believe this, but I agree with you 100% ;)

Good to see him back and that goal must have been very special to him.

good god alive ! ;)

he looked so happy, he's just had a baby and judging by the celebration that goal was for the baby

Cynical but a sprained wrist wouldn't stop him playing if asked

to be fair, after spraining his wrist he could fall over into a fence and break a bone, then collapsing into a brick wall and sustaining serious damage to his head so it could happen ;)

Always liked Holmesy. Got good pace and a great engine, and his crossing is, at times, sublime. Even with his right he can whip in quality deliveries.

Let's pray that he remains injury free for a long time, good Championship player is Lee.

With those crosses, I bet Ricky hopes he stays fit too

Assuming no new injuries occur over the next 2 weeks, the 16 that Adkins selects vs Derby will be interesting. Holmes has obviously staked a claim to remain in the squad, but Connolly and Barnard (not to mention Harding and Jaidi) will be eager to be included too. Stupid 5 man bench rule!!
