Shame to see Lee Cook go.
Seems like he's never got going again after being sold. Was surprised he didn't really get a chance at all last season.
Hope the club look after him on the clubs way up as he did to the club on their way down.

I remember sitting in the SA Rd stand singing sign him up. Had a quality left foot, and was a decent crosser of the ball, but never the same after his injury. Hope he goes onto another club and proves a success. Also hope the club do something for him - he did after all give the club a life line in terms of cash when he was sold to Fulham....(transfer fee AND his signing on fee) and that should never be forgotton

Exactly my point Ninj. In the days of Mercenary footballers this was a fella who gave up £1/4m to help save QPR

Cooky in his hayday was quality. Never the same after his injury but definitely a legend after the money he gave to the club during the dark days.

Lee Cook is a total legend! And was top class! So sad that he got the injury that ruined him playing against QPR! Such a shame!

I've got a lot of time for him. On top of foregoing a serious wad of dough for the club he was at times the only shining light in a dire team. There was a time where if we didn't score from Cook crossing it for Blackstock we didn't score. Two Blackstock goals from Cook crosses at Sheffield Wednesday away circa 2006 stick in my mind for no reason at all. We lost 3-2 after Simon Royce (I think) gave away the most ridiculous penalty of all time after clearly taking the ball from Steve Mclean.

Lee Cook = QPR Legend, in attitude and love for the club. It's a real shame that injury spoiled what was destined to be a great career. There was even talk of an England call up at one stage I recall, before he went to Fulham and then it all went sour...

    Echo all of the above.
Sad fact of the matter is that we are now in a position to look for and afford better.
Brilliant, skillfull player for our time of need and i wish him all the very best.

I agree with that: particularly in the season before he went to Fulham, he was brilliant. Sadly, injury put a stop to that but he was a rare glimpse of real quality in his prime. Good luck Cookie!

For my money he is the most important player in our recent history. His arrival at the club lifted the team from the depths and started us on the climb back. Good luck in the future Lee, God knows you didn't have much in recent years.
