Good afternoon lads! I'm curious. Lee Clark, i'm sure you're all aware of him and the job he is doing at Huddersfield Town. Currently 5th in league one, and achieving play-off places in the previous two seasons. I often cast an eye or two over Huddersfield these days purely because of Lee Clark. I want Clark to succeed, much like Hughton. I write this thread out of curiosity, do you think Clarky could one day manage the Toon? would you like to see this happen? (after Pardew wins the prem 5 times and a champions league trophy ofc) ..Or are you uninterested and indifferent on the subject of future managers? My opinion is I hope so so much that one day Clark manages us, the prospect of having previous players at the helm excites me!!!!!!!! Happy New Year to all!
Would love for him to manage us one day, and would love for him to get a good crack at the job too, even if it takes a season to warm into it. I'd like to see him get a fair go at it under a new ownership regime though: I'm sure he thinks the same too - why would he want to destroy his one chance by making himself manager under Ashley and Llambias' restraints? One for the future.
Sorry. Sentiment has no place in EPL. If Ashley ever sells it will be for mega bucks and the likes of Clark won't get a look in. And Pardew has a 5 year deal.....
