When Birmingham lost Hughton as manager, I saw it as a positive because he did very well for them. Now Lee Clark is in place, should Leeds be worried? Will they be a threat this season? We know they are skint, so not expecting any major signings for them. I can't see them making playoffs.
Naaaah not worried. Hughton is a much better manager than Clark & had a better squad than what Clark will inherit. Dont think he we have much if any funds to play with & will have a small squad.
1) We get a takeover and cash injection I am not worried about anyone in this division - Warnock with limited funds is a danger to any opposing side, with funds and he is a major threat. 2) We do not get a takeover and Birmingham will be the wrong end of the table for me to worry about, I shall be more worried about the teams that finished lower than us this season.
ristac, I like your first point!! Warnock is a damn good manager, and may well be the best in the Championship.
Clark's just a poor man's Simon Grayson. A weaker manager taking over a weaker squad, not too worried about Brum.
Hi, I hope you don't mind a Town fan sticking her oar in. I liked Clark and was gutted to see him go. But he was making mistakes, mainly because our squad was too big and he didn't seem to be able to pick his best team. As I keep saying I think we would have got promoted this time with Clark still in charge. But we will never know that. I am interested to see how he will do at Brum, especially as he won't have a generous chairman allowing him to make so many signings. If he can succeed there, then my faith in him was justified. If not, then we did the right thing in getting rid and bringing in someone from a club up the road.
