I remember him playing a few years ago i thought he was quite decent out of the bunch. Back then we used to loan quite a few keepers Warner, Ashdown and Camp himself. Would be a good bit of business as he would be free. Or should we try Rudd instead to give Bunn competition? Who would you play while JR is out?
Lee Camp (around 18 months ago) was quite easily the best keeper in the Championship and looked destined to be in the Premier League soon, whatever has happened at Forest since has clearly meant that he has fallen out of favour and dipped a bit in form, however he is still a very good keeper who I imagine would be a very solid Premier League keeper given the chance, which is what I would imagine he is holding out for as he should have been there already in my opinion
Hi bors, viewing MotD I was impressed with the saves made by other goalkeepers that kept their team in the game. I think our keeper rated the worse on the day. He completely missed that low cross that Sturridge tapped in (on target that would have been a goal) and his reaction to Gerrard's shot was too slow. (Think of a penalty and the reaction time a keeper has bearing in mind the kick is taken a lot closer). On that display I would be inclined to give Rudd the opportunity, can he be worse ? If he is then God help us, we are in dire straits until Ruddy returns. I don't see the point of signing another keeper when we have two in reserve, that is precisely what they are there for otherwise they should be loaned out for experience. The really big question is . . . is Bunn up to Premier League standard ? That was summing up the keeper, he was not the only one having a bad day at the office. We have a pleothera of midfielders, suggest we contact Warnock and make a swap, Howson for Becchio, we need a striker and they would be getting back their former captain. We would be taking a chance on Becchio making the grade in the Premier, and Leeds know the quality Howson would contribute to their prospects.
I'm beginning to think that Ruddy is unlikely to be fit again this season, thus the move for Camp. His addition will make it much harder to sign further players in the summer without others leaving.
I was of the understanding that Camp was coming on a short term deal, so until the summer only anyway.
