Hello, new to this lark, so bear with me, has anyone heard anymore about Lee Bowyer joining us? Not sure if a good thing but would give us the steel in midfield I think we have been missing,

He is out of contract so would be a free. However he's getting on (is he 34 or something like that?) and I worry it would be a Hartley situation where his legs have gone.
The PFA website has a list of players who are out of contract - that makes interesting reading. Some good players on there.

Seriously......has Keef the presence or clout to handle a player like Bowyer? This is where you are going to have problems recruiting. There are so many good managers in the Championship the players with choice are going to take that into consideration.

I wouldn't be keen, decent enough player but getting a bit long in the tooth now. Also, and this might be unfair as I don't know the bloke, but he's not a player I've ever taken to either.......just seems to have a way about him. Like I say probably unfair, but some you like and some you don't.
