cawley saying that RD and bowyer to talk in the morning. as far as i'm aware he's on personal talking terms to bowyer so this can be a good sign. i'm still cheering a slow painful death for roland though
Even if this is Duchatelet cutting loose before a sale - as some are claiming - it’s such a risible, obscene way to go about things. He’s just publicly sawn off a manager who’s got a promotion on a shoestring.
Everyone should return their season ticket,, nobody should attend the fixtures home or away;. Mass demonstrations required, essential we drive this idiot out of the Club once and for all.
please log in to view this image If Bowyer agrees anything with Duchatelet after this demeaning statement it will be nothing short of a miracle. More negotiations tomorrow? What is LB going to say? "Hi Roland, how's it going? And what the **** is that back-stabbing statement on the website all about? If you weren't old enough to be my granddad I'd come over there and give you a proper slap you conniving old bastard..."
Kind words @DickPlumb but there has been no right or wrong in this situation. It is all about opinion(apart from the one of Mr ban Gerwen's) as his does not count. It is quite clear we are nowhere near being sold with actions like this. Have some balls Bowyer and DO NOT go back, have some self respect, the geezer has taken the p*** out of you.
That banner may be in bad taste, but it doesn't actually say it wants RD to die. Just that they'll celebrate when he does. Personally I'd much rather he just sells the Club and goes away and enjoys the rest of his life. Once Charlton has a new owner I never want to hear about him or think about him ever again - and that includes knowing when he dies. But if RD were to keel over while still Charlton's owner, the reaction from fans will not be one of universal dignified respect.
Bowyer has been painted into a corner now, as we predicted. What does he say at his meeting with Duchatelet tomorrow ? The Belgian idiot has gone public with his thoughts on the contract, and won’t be backing down. He’s accused his manager of...shock horror...employing an agent. Two things can happen at tomorrow’s meeting IMO - Duchatelet apologises - nope, or Bowyer blows a fuse and tells RD to shove it ...now very possible. Shambles.
It seems bowyer was never going to back down, and he's ten times more likely not to now after that disgraceful statement on the website. If RD hadn't offered Bowyer a contract nobody could even understand (not even RM) then our manager would not have needed to employ an agent to negotiate for him. Duchatelet is a tin-pot dictator who expects total obedience from all his employees.
God knows how the meeting will go. If it's face to face it should be deeply embarrassing for RD, having spouted a load of what they will both know is garbage. It should start with Bowyer asking for an explanation, after that anything could happen. I really don't think that the rest of the football world has woken up to how weird our owner is. There was a time when his antics would have been a major story but not any more when it's all about the top 6.
Predictable. Jim is always a sympathetic shoulder for Roland the Victim to cry on. Presumably he won't allow Simon Jordan on.
So Duchatelet is going to rubbish Bowyer for half an hour on TalkSport and then get back to negotiating with him? This story changes every few minutes. If RD is more interested in spouting more of his deluded nonsense on the radio than getting a deal done with his manager then it's over for sure. There is nothing Roland can say to Jim White on the radio that will make LB more likely to sign a contract. But there is plenty Roland can say that will make LB less likely to sign. Duchatelet is going out of his way to get rid of Bowyer now. That should mean a take-over is happening in the next week or two. But I'll not believe it until it actually happens. All I expect tomorrow is more incoherent "it's everybody's fault but mine" bulls**t from RD and more simpering from White.
