Lardi, what has got into you since the new Sheriff arrived? …. you are a changed man …. you loved the tunnel jump (like the rest of us) when Sir Chris did it didn't you?
I'm assuming this is a bit of a leg-pull. Lee Bowyer doesn't have to style himself on anybody else. He is his own man. Truth be told, from my perceptions of him down the years I can't say I even like the guy very much. But I do respect him a lot for what he is achieving now, and how he is going about it.
Yes I did. The tunnel jump was Powell's own thing and it came from his heart. I'll always remember those days with huge pride and gratitude to Chris Powell. I just think it has had its day. Perhaps it feels a bit cynical now, a bit contrived just to keep the whooping fans happy. For me, Charlton Athletic and the atmosphere inside the Valley (even when we win) is still just a pale reflection of what it used to be like before Duchatelet bought the Club. It will never feel a fraction as good as it was back in 2012 or the years before that, until RD is gone.
The sheriff and I do share common views on the two most important subjects of the day; Brexit Roland Duchatelet Any disagreements are just background noise by comparison...
And we are both proper Charlton men Lardi We have a difference when it comes to footwear. I am a brogues man...I know you have a penchant for flip flops.
@AllHellLetLoose Before you were sacked as Mod and replaced by me, how did you cope with constant begging DMs from @baraettmattesvensson asking to be made Deputy Mod ? I’m finding it quite stressful. Particularly as he owes me money.
Weren't you spotted in a lovely pair of Cowboy boots yesterday?..... sort of Village People like?.... then you pulled @Clb74 on top of you because he was wearing his construction worker gear
Had my usual weekend footwear on - brown brogues They didn’t help my grip when an 18 year old hooligan jumped on my back via three rows of seats after we equalised ...
I think my first advice as a Mod will be to tell other 606ers not to ever buy @baraettmattesvensson an away ticket * (* - and expect to be paid for it)
Bowyer normally says it as it is, but for him to claim after today’s game that we are a “good side” Good sides keep clean sheets against limited journeymen sides like Coventry, who come here & put ten men behind the ball and are happy with a point. I don’t blame Bowyer though - that cvnt of an owner has left us short for a 5th season running. Will the penny ever drop Jeddez & BB ?
