Leave Andy Carroll alone now please

  1. I'm sick of still hearing people call Andy Carroll a twat and a money grubbing ****. And it's really annoying to hear that we all once protected Carroll from **** like him being a "woman beater", saying that it was just another woman accusing a footballer, and Carroll wasn't charged, therefore there is no proof that he actually assaulted a woman. Now people from our own support are suddenly joking about his supposed assaults on women, calling him a lassy basher and a thug.

I want you to answer this question -

Would Alan Shearer have agreed to play for 18 grand a week? And then turn down an offer to go to man united from probably 5x those wages? I doubt it.

I still firmly believe that Andy Carroll loves Newcastle United, but if we wanted to keep him, we should have gave him higher wages. He's gone now, tough ****, it's the clubs fault.

And i certainly don't buy into this bull**** from the club about Carroll being the evil man in all this, and they had no other choice. It's all a bit of a coincidence that the club turn down a massive offer from another club, and then 10 minutes later Carroll hands in a transfer request, and then 30 seconds later the club accept the bid..

It's not as simple as people make it out to be. I don't love Andy Carroll any more, but i'm sick of all this "judas" ****. Anyone who boos or waves Judas banners at the Liverpool away match should be disgusted and ashamed with themselves.

All we have to do is just accept that he's gone, and that the club SHOULD have given him higher wages. End of.

We were quick enough to give Cheik Tiote 4x his wage to stay, why not Carroll? 11 goals and 6 assists in 17 starts warrants him to be on the wage cap.

Money isn't everything, I'd stay for 18k a week over 5 times that!

Amen <ok> He DOES still love NUFC you can tell he wasn't head over heals about leaving but Ashley clearly decided he'd had enough bad press to be seen selling the star man so he made it seem as if Carroll was the villain and that he had no choice! If he ever scores against you I'd have a tenner that he doesn't celebrate or smile.

  6. I know money isn't everything, but any supporter would say something like that mate. But the fact is, we don't know how all this effects a players mind. 100% of supporters have dreams of playing CF for their club, but you can't say things like you'd play for low wages just to be at the club, when you don't know what it's actually like to be a footballer mate.

There is something ugly in football, something which we will never experience.

I literally could agree with this post less, unless, you know, you mention some TRUE evil...

First bold: I beleive he would have. We gave him HUGE wages to come here, if Man U offered double, he probably would have gone there. Their is no such thing as loyal players, not since Sky came around.

Second bold: Yes and no. We gave him a contract, upping his wages to a reported 30k pw, 3 month's before he left (for over one of those months he was injured remember!). We should have said:
'In the summer we are getting rid of Xisco. Keep up your form and you can have a portion of his wages to get up to 50k pw.'
And who's to say we didn't? He'd heard Liverpool were offering 80k pw, and would take no less. If we break the wage structure for him while simultaneously asking Barton to drop from 70k to 50k, what message would that have sent out?

This: What the club came out and said is EASILY the most feasible, and believable out of all 'story's' released. A few ****ty, unclear text were enough to sway you were they? Even though they were, almost certainly, not from him!

Final bold: Covered it. End of.

EDIT: Ignore the first one, read it wrong.

He was a naiive fool. The whole thing was quickly manipulated by his agent and before Carroll knew it he'd signed for Liverpool.... Im certain a part of him woke up the next morning in some scouse hotel and thought "oh......f***, what have I done?" but to be honest, what makes the whole thing bitter is a local lad with his "I wanna wear number 9, i wanna follow Alan Shearer, I love Newcastle" etc etc etc then jumped at the very first offer that came along! If he hadn't pledged such Shearer like loyalty I doubt we'd be as annoyed. But we have moved on, the teams moved on, we've got an exciting future ahead... But we'll never turn around now and praise Carroll, he'll always be a twat, a villain etc.

if he played for liverpool before us fair enough for celebrating (shearer done it at blackburn)
but considering we made him I think even Carroll isn't daft enough to do that
