He's bound to like him Ken Bates is the one who made sure he got all the monies owed to him back!!!!
 
dont want to really have another debate about bates (dont like him either ) but after ridsdale we very nearly became another rangers and we didnt --- maybe food for thought ?

If thats what you believe mate then yeah, thats what bates wants us all to believe but I know for a fact that at least 2 higher bids where tabled for LUFC the only problem being 1 of the administrators would only write off 17 million of the debts if bates and only bates took over.
 
bids ? we would have been extict by then ! no one likes bates and i am one of them but the way this club was run were were on the brink of armagedon, we wouldent be having this debate now im afraid if a little common sense did not prevail , we now at last look forward instead of looking back if of course we alllow ourselves to ?
 
Thankfully, we may shortly be able to put the bates era/saga behind us. As I've said previously, two years is a long time in footie. If gfh provide the backing, we can once again become a major premiership force

Bates is a con artist, he is like Pete Winkelman at Wimbledon/MK dons, he cultivates a myth around him that he ‘saved the club’, but in reality just engineered the sale to himself for a knocked down price, so he could sell it on for his own profit.
