I would have thought that Blyth will be involved.

 

I'd like to see a young squad replaced by an experienced one at half time. Having not signed anyone I'd like to see some new players. Maybe it's Nigel's plan anyway?

I wouldnt read too much into who doesnt play. Not everyone will be involved in the 1st pre season game. Even players that are surplus to requirements will play in friendlies as its in the clubs best interests the keep them fit incase they dont go or its make then more attractive to potential buyers
