Well how would you be? If anyone can, then Stick's the man. Yes siree Bob, when a balls to the wall effort was needed, Stick well and truly glued 'em to he bulkhead. In a hard fought old affair, Stick and Ron went hammer and tongs for the wire. In the closest of finishes though, Ron dropped his whip in the drive for the line and went down by wart. He lost on count back. Sth, beat Paul on count back for third, and Redcat finished right on their heels. With still 5 furlongs to go, Stick moves to within two lengths of Sth, who's rider must be starting to feel some pain in the sphincter. Best return of the day and highest priced winner went to Hawk in L2, he hit a 7:10 winner. Those to take the hit for next week will be Fabio, Smoke last week's winner Reebs. Those winning promotion are Hawk, Steveo & Cyc. Well played all. TOTAL WINS. 9. STH. 7. STICK. 5. STEVEO. 3. BLUE, DOALITTLE, REEBS & RON. 2. BUSTY, CYC, PAUL, REDCAT. 1. Haha, cheers Cyc, I was truly cursing yesterday. At the track and no signal whatsoever. My own horse a non runner and wanted to change to Eurystheus who won the race but I couldn't get a signal. Still more by luck than anything I have nicked another one back although I reckon STH is just letting his mount get a breather before the final push.
Onya mate, nice comments about Sth. In the end though Stick, everyone has the same chances, so you earned the nod.
Mine used to say "if he spent as much time studying the subjects as he does the Sporting Life, he might actually amount to something". I paid no heed.
Well done stick. Cheers Cyc I always remember, when I was 12, the class had to write an essay on the Suffragettes. My essay contained a sentence which read "... and Aboyeur went on to win by a short head at 100/1". Of course it should have also said "following the controversial disqualification of the favourite Craganour" but I guess I hadn't realised that then.
