As the weeks rush on towards the magical week 52, where the baton will be passed to RV, I sit in great expectation. It's a time to which I look forward with a warmth. I started out as fresh as a daisy. My first lap was not unlike the great Crisp, as he soared like a bird on the first lap of that famous Aintree course. But as the long run in opens before me, I've begun to get the staggers. I can't see him, but a giant presence looms large, and try as I might, I can't shake off a forboding feeling as RV emerges from the pack to give chase. But as the lion hearted Crisp battled on, so shall I. Week 52 calls and I shall answer her as only a man of courage can ... with stiff woody. Humans leads us all off this week, and I for one wish him the very best of good luck. He has a talented bunch to beat off, but if anyone can do it, it's a human. I of course will be competing in the selling plater, long with those two hardened geldings Stick and RV.
