As the field swings past the seven furlong pole, Sth, under restraint, leads by a handy three lengths from Stick, who in a lightening move, has charged around Steveo, and moved into a clear second place. A couple of panels behind Steveo, and all off the bit, are Paul, Doalittle and Ron who have their work cut out staying in touch. The rest are all under the hammer and going backwards. As the race begins to quicken, Stick and Steveo now seem to be the only real chances of making any kind of impression on Sth. who's rider has a strange look smeared across his craggy face, but from where we are in the grandstand, it's hard to tell whether it's a grin or a grimace. The jockey aboard Stick is coming over all stony faced. He either thinks he's in with a chance, or he's suffering a slight bout of constipation. It could be the latter, with all the spuds they're inclined to eat over there. Sth was the main sufferer this week as he drops from L1, allowing Stick & Steveo a free swing.
