First off, a big thanks to Doalittle for stepping up to the plate. Well done mate. It was a strange weekend with heaps of people missing out, but a number of players who did snag a winner, ended up with nice returns. Blue managed a single winner which paid 10:30. It was more than enough to give him his third L1 title. Well dome champ. Doalittle & Ron filled the minor placings. As four people in L1 failed to find a winner, a tie breaker had to be used to see which person stayed up. Stick's two seconds just got him home in front of Paul, Steveo & Fabio. Highest priced winner of the day went to Busty who also scored the biggest total in the round. Great effort mate. Joining Busty in L1 next week will be Ardent who spotted a very nice winner, and our runaway comp leader STH. Stick will be desperate to pull one back on STH, too bad Steveo can't be there to keep them honest. Hawk didn't post. If L2 doesn't build in numbers next week, we'll have a reset of the Leagues. TOTAL WINS. 9. STH. 4. STEVEO & STICK. 3. BLUE & RON. 2. BUSTY & CYC. 1. ARDENT, DEX, DOALITTLE, HAWK, ODDY, PAUL, REDCAT, REEBS, SMOKE & WOOLY. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- WEEK 37 STANDINGS. LEAGUE ONE. 1. BLUE. 10:30. 2. RON. 7:10. 3. DOALITTLE. 5:10. 4. REDCAT. 2:80. 5. REEBS. 1:70. 6. STICK. 0. 7. BUSTY. 15:60. * 8. ARDENT. 10:20. * 9. STH. 3:90. * LEAGUE TWO. 1. CYC. 0. 2. Seen result but not that fight, will probably get chance to watch it Wednesday on my next day off, but sounds like a bit of controversial scoring yet again by the judges. I know a lot about scoring boxing is subjective but bad score cards are becoming a weekly occurance now. There's a website called Bad Left Hook that I usually look on if I can't watch the fight live and they are pretty spot on usually with the boxing, giving live commentary and updates etc and they had Degale fight a draw and Jack winning his by 5 I think it was. I'll have to watch it for myself and see what I think but it's getting to the point where something is going to be have to done about the judges, we can't keep having these silly scores.
I watched the fight on Wiziwig and thought it was a solid Badou win. When the first card was announced as 117-111, I thought, "fair enough." But then the 114-114 came out, I was a bit stunned. I didn't see DeGale, but his face was nice and swollen after the fight. From what I've read, he deserved the win. The DeGale - Badou fight will be a cracker.
Pathetic excuse for keeping Stick up in L1. Obviously the fear of us going on until Stick has most wins clouded your judgement and you couldn't face running this a week more than you have to. I'm surprised Stick isn't putting forward tote places (a la SA) to be counted from now on. Seriously though thanks Doalittle and Cyc for this.
Good to see you back Cyc. Hope you had a nice break. Well done Blue and Bustino. Thanks for keeping it going Doalittle
