Hi guys I think there was a discussion before about possible improvements to the league as its possible to win league 1, then end up in league 3 in a couple of weeks! I was going to suggest either 1) limit promotion/relegation to just 1 or maybe 2 places Or 2) maybe make the league into monthly seasons, then promote/relegate 3 people based on the end of month standings Any thoughts?
Ron and I had a chat some time ago about possible changes to the comp. In the end I decided to leave it as it is. The reason being I wanted the guys who live for long periods in L3, to have a better chance of promotion. If we moved the comp to a monthly duration, those who usually swim in L3 might become disheartened. Besides, if 3 go down, it gives for those who live in L1 a better chance to experience a little humility.
If it ain't broke don't try and fix it! No probs, I think everyone is happy with it as it is anyway. I'll be even happier when I return to league 1 this week!
But I'll tell you what I will do, I'm more than happy to hand it off to others who want to have a go. That way the comp can wander off in all manner of directions, and that can't be a bad thing I suppose. This isn't an off the cuff offer either, it's something I've been thinking about for a while. So if anyone wants to take a crack, just give me a whistle.

Placings are figured out on tote odds and the top 3 in each league get promotion, the bottom 3 go down. Easy. NR goes to favourite. Saturday only comp mate. Welcome. Are you still blogging?
