Well I had some trouble with one of Busty's horses, Shuii Royal in the 14:05 at Wincanton. I couldn't find it running anywhere at all yesterday. As it wasn't a scratching from that race, I've voided the selection. Sorry mate. We had a dead heat at the top of L1 with both Steveo and Ron hitting the same priced winners. Steveo had two seconds to Ron's one, so took the title. Well done Champ. Dex made off with L2 when he hit two winners totaling 12:20. Wooly's big 10 was the highest single priced winner of the day. Well played all. For those interested in total wins. STH 4, Cyc. 2, and Blue, Hawk, Reebs, Ron, Steveo & Stick 1. (Alphabetical order.) WEEK 12 RESULTS. LEAGUE ONE. 1. STEVEO. 8.00. 2. RON. 8.00. 3. I refer you to Rule 17.3 (ii) which states "Notwithstanding Rule 5.1, in the event of a tie in any League (based on win returns only) involving the reigning champion of that League, a tiebreaker will not be applied and the reigning champion will retain his/her title."
Ahhh yes Ron, I've pulled the dusty old rule book from the bottom draw and reacquainted myself with said Rule, and while I have unbound appreciation for your position, I must in all fairness refer you to Section R121-3-8 of the Competitions and Shonky Deals Act of 2006-7, which states that the Judges have the discretionary powers to award wins to anyone they like as long as the "bung" comes in bills of a large enough quantity.
Cheers Ron and echo those sentiments..very kind, more than this Compo has been to you over the last few weeks! Siempre van al palo!
Selecting phantom horses is not helping my cause and I'm rapidly becoming the Coventry City of this league. Well done Steveo
