Grand National day brought out the best in one or two of us. Channin posted the biggest ever return in this comp when he hit the National winner which paid 47.80, a huge effort. Needless to say he won L2 and moved into L1. And then there was Stick. What a man. Boasted early on in the week that he was going to nail the top league. He walked the walk. Onya mate. A few of us in L1 were lucky as we had three no shows. Ron managed to stay in L2 without even posting a winner. lol L2 had a shocker. Danish easily won L3.

Just goes to show what a difference a nose can make. I am in freefall. Well done stick. I'm ready for another one of those head-to-head cups we did early on when the draw was done on the daily threads. Happy to help it if needs be - I think Ron did it first time round and a good job he did too.

I don't think I managed to stay in L2 Cyc. Others must have managed it for me (presumably didn't turn up). Still at least in the betting Comp I only had 4 bets with all my £1,000 going on the GN.
    £200ew Sunnyhill Boy 16/1
    £200ew Neptune Collonges 40/1
    £50ew Cappa Bleu 18/1
    £50ew Vic Venturi 66/1

That's a professional for you. Not quite as professional as Chan who put even more on NC to deprive me of a victory.

Ron, everyone in L2 posted for the comp mate. As you, George, RV and Red didn't hit a winner, we went to the points to split you all. You had 40, George 30, RV 20 and Red 10, so the other three went down. You retained fifth position in L2 because you competed in that League, those below you, Danish, Wooly and Stevo came up out of L3 so you have to be rated above them. Congrats on you fine effort in the betting Comp. Both you and Chan were outstanding.
