Now I've been generous to all teams so this is how the league could look come the end of Jan.
I think palace will stay up, TP seems to have them playing organised and as a team.
Also there is WBA, Norwich, Villa and Stoke to consider but couldn't be bothered to do all that :)
And considering our Feb games 7 points is a must 9 points a great month.

    Palace - 23 points
    Sunderland 21 points
    .............................................
    Fulham - 21 points
    West Ham - 20 points
    Cardiff - 19 points

Would take the point of Southampton and say that from villa and say 3 points from Fulham

We have a good record down there in recent years

West Ham to beat Newcastle? I hope for our sake that's wrong. I also think having gone to Villa West Ham and Cardiff away unbeaten we'll do the same at Fulham so it could be even better for us.

Wish the bbc would bring the predictor back.

I can see us unbeaten in that period. We are 4 games now and 3 clean sheets and I'm saying 8 points.

The BBC are not including Sunderland in the predictor, but on the plus side we are favourites to bounce straight back up from the Championship next season.

    Just joking :)

Do the bbc not show the predictor just after the new year?

Can't see Cardiff being bottom, as long as they don't make a silly appointment they will be fine, you guys will stay up as well.

I'm have been an optimistic type and have been accused of being a "happy clapper" so please believe me when with all seriousness and sincerity I cannot see where our next win is coming from based on our inability to take and hold a lead (against 11 men).

We seem to be eventually able to react as we did against Chelsea and Cardiff.

I'm desperate to be proved wrong.......please, prove me wrong lads.

I'm sure we did that against Man City who aren't a bad team.

We also did it against Everton and might well have won even if Howard stayed on the pitch.

We drew at Villa, should have won, so I can see us beating them ......... if you can't then I don't quite understand why, they just lost at home to Palace and haven't won in about half a dozen.

It's all too close. Why cant there be a Derby 11 point team kicking about nowadays, or a Sunderland 15point team aswell (just not us obviously) seems in the EPL there aren't any whipping boys like a decade ago. Things are getting tighter. I really hope we stay up, guess it's what Gus does in the Jan window that will determine that. A striker who scores goals, a midfielder who can assist and drive the game, and a proper lb and we should be ok. Fulham, Palace, and hopefully West Ham for the drop.

Well I must have drunk to much and my brain is completely shot because I can see us winning all four games the only one I think we might drop points in is the Southampton game which I still think we will get a draw in.

So I get us in 11th place at the end of the month!

We're proving that wrong mate. We're in much better form than anyone around us, we've been steadily gaining ground since Gus arrived. While everyone has been beating everyone, forming one big group, we've been slowly gaining ground. In fact we've gone form 7points cut a drift to 7 points off 11th, the whole second half of the premiership has allowed us to catch up.

We're not going to fire ourselves to safety off a handful of games. We'd need to show top 6 form. But with the mid table form we're showing we're still getting there. KTF fella.

Again I agree we are not playing fantastic but the others are playing worse.we can't expect to peg these points back in a few games.like I say we are not playing good enough to win many points in a row but steadily we are getting there.im sure we will pick enough points up to survive.

Why would we be mate, we're bottom and just avoided relegation last season.

I'm just guessing but I don't think any other 'relegation rival' picked up as many points, as us, in the last two games ........... like you say, we'll do this point by hard earned point.

Southampton aren't on great form anymore, I'm wondering why everyone is predicting we won't beat them? Maybe I'm being ridiculous here but I could feasibly see is pipping villa and riding a wave of confidence into these games, going on to win all 4! Fulham will be on a downer from the 6-0, particularly if they lose to west ham. Southampton and Stoke at home on the back of 6 unbeaten?? Come on...
