With West Brom facing a horrendous trip to Spurs and Everton not playing till tomorrow a win tonight will almost certainly have us in tenth!
How many thought we could be speculating about the top half berth just four weeks after MON walked through the door? Not me, that's for sure.

Its all going a bit crazy at the minute, with MON coming in and other recent results.

The fact the next team with a positive goal difference is NUFC in 7th says it all really.

Its no secret that I wanted MoN desperately and was ecstatic on his appointment but even I couldn't see us getting 10 points from his first 5 games mate. Especially when we had Spurs, Man City and our arch nemesis Everton to play out of those 5 games.

The transformation has been remarkable even for his reputation. Lucky? Honeymoon period? Great management ability?

Call it what you want but his bloke has star quality splashed all over him and the players seem to be responding 100% to what he is saying and doing. If we were to draw tonight for instance, he would have equalled Bruce's season tally in 6 games, that took Bruce 14. If we win, we will have added 13 points out of the last 18 on offer and thats as good as any club in the top half of the league and better than the likes of Chelsea with all their money.

    Remarkable.

Also you don't hear Martin O'Neill saying "this isn't my team" like a certain ex manager did do you?? This is Bruces' team but with a good manager and man manager in charge who gets the best out of players and seems to know how to play to a players strengths (well - all except Bendtner so far anyhow!!)

It is a very exciting time to be a Sunderland fan - in the Bruce days I lost sleep over whether we'd stay up - on Sunday I couldn't sleep cos of excitement down to the game - massive turnaround

(*Also Cest - Utd have 15 in their last 6 but other than that you're spot on!!) (Pedantic smiley!!) :)
