So what do you guys think? JJ and BWP are our two representatives, placed at 2 and 5 respectively. Find it a bit strange that Gary Roberts is on the list, seeming he has come in for loads of criticism at 'udders this season. And whilst I think Chadwick and Potter are good/decent players, no chance they are top 10 material. I'd rate players like Sercombe (Exeter), Wordsworth (Colu), Madine (Weds), Diagouraga (Brentford), Cox (LO) etc as better players (and I'm sure there are many players we don't watch week in week out who are more impressive for their clubs than the names above).

Bit of a rant, but these kind of lists just really annoy me.

What about Wiggins? He's better than JJ and probably BWP!

Defenders never make these kind of lists, it's ridiculous. Funny that our two top scorers are on the list (or does Yann have more than JJ now?)

JJ and BWP are 6th and 7th respectively on my POTY list (Solly, Morro, Wiggins, Kermit and Taylor are in front of them in that order). They have both made excellent contributions but they are by no means in a League Team of the Year. If there is a better player this year in the League in any of the four defensive positions than our guys then I am a Dutchman. One assumes that the selection was done in the week or so that JJ scored his two free-kicks v the Sheffields!!

The League One team of the year should be -

    Day - Stevenage
    Solly
    Morro
    Taylor
    Wiggins
    Jackson
    Wordsworth - Colly
    Hollands
    Flynn - Sheff United
    Kermit
    Rhodes - Udders

I think Morro, Kermit, Solly etc are far more deserving of a place in the 'League Ones best 10 players'. Not that I don't appreciate BWP and JJ, but I feel they haven't been anywhere near our 'best players' this season.

I'm assuming this whole list is just based on statistics rather than actually watching a game.

I agree WWOCB, I don't want it to appear that we don't value BWP or Jackson. God knows we wouldn't be top without them, but surely they would acknowledge they haven't been our best players this season.

But I guess it's probably true for the other players/clubs on this list.

as chrissy points out, such lists are always biased in favour of attackers....team of the year i will be outraged if the defence doesnt appear as the complete back 4 (^maybe hamer also cause who else?)

Honestly, think about the people that judge this, Do you expect them to have watched every game for every team analysing every player?

It makes the whole thing somewhat redundant, but stat based systems are the only way to do it apparently.
