Not sure how but Barnsley have 5 players in it and Luton only have 2?? Barnsley: Goalkeeper Adam Davies, defenders Dimitri Cavare and Ethan Pinnock, midfielder Alex Mowatt and striker Kieffer Moore are all included. Luton: full-back James Justin and striker James Collins - the division's top scorer - in the team. Portsmouth: centre-half Matt Clarke and midfielder Jamal Lowe are also named. Sunderland winger Aiden McGeady and Doncaster striker John Marquis complete the line-up. Winning the league all season after getting promoted from League two and the team who came down from the championship seem to get more players picked for this? Don't understand how they work it out to be honest!!
Not rocket science is it? “The whole is greater than the sum of its parts.” Better as a team as opposed to picking individuals.
Exactly. Player for player, we are better, as are Barnsley and arguably Portsmouth. Without question though, Luton have been the best team in the league, and that’s why they are going up as champions. Fair play and all credit to them, never has a club deserved it more.
There's not many other players (apart from at CB) I'd take from other clubs over our strongest 11 on paper. The table never lies at the end of the season though. A club is always where it deserves to be, even for City/Liverpool which is extraordinary too. Huge credit to them. To lose their manager half way through the season too is an unbelievable effort.
Incredible season for them. Like you say losing a gaffer who’d built from scratch without a wobble is stunning.
If we went up i would have Lowe,Collins, Davies and also the two Coventry players who caused us no end of problems up here, Marquis looked ordinary against us.
