This is a quote from Wikipedia. I know that it may not have absolute truth but the foundations are what I want to discuss. And in particular the highlighted part

As the transfer window closed at midnight 2 September, rumours started to appear in the press stating that Keegan was extremely unhappy with Director of Football Dennis Wise' interference in team matters. The following morning Keegan had a meeting at St. James Park with Wise and Managing Director Derek Llambias, it is unknown what exactly was said in the meeting but witnesses saw Keegan storm out of the meeting claiming to be sacked.[27] Keegan drove to Manchester to consult with the League Managers Association chief-executive Richard Bevan, while in this meeting it is thought Ashley found out from Llambias of the row and attempted to contact Keegan. On 4 September 2008, Keegan resigned from the club following days of talks with the board of Newcastle United headed by Llambias.[28] This led to prolonged protests by fans directed chiefly against Ashley and Wise, being dubbed the "Cockney Mafia." The club was warned by the League Managers Association on 5 September 2008 to develop a structure which would satisfy the next manager to replace Keegan to avoid a similar situation repeating itself and damaging the club's image.

This must surely be being damaged almost beyond repair. The whole JK scenario os almost identical to the Wise Keegan issue.

As Pardew appears to be clearly not satisfied, maybe this is the reason why pardew holds the cards in the contract termination row. Possibly he would have cause to complain at the LMA and potentially get unfair dismissal.

Did anyone else know about this so called structure?

The Lma has zero influence. Plus Pardew is a tool. The feckless threesome all need to move on.

yeh LMA can't do **** sadly and I'd imagine MA now has some form of protection to stop pards doing a keegan and walking then suing us. Maybe he'll just put him on a zero-hour contract when he sacks him as well.

As already mentioned, the LMA are pretty much impotent without help from the courts.

Pardew would actually have to claim unfair dismissal before anything could happen.

Pardew should walk, claim constructive dismissal based upon breakdown of mutual trust and confidence.

I suspect this action might attract an identical counter-claim :emoticon-0116-evilg

It would be hard for Pardew to claim Constructive Dismissal since he's put on public record that the appointment of Kinnear is not an issue for him. There is no other tangible reason for him to claim anything.

He's held by effectively golden handcuffs and he has no need to want to leave.

The LMA stance is pointless other than they gave friendly advice to the club that they better sort themselves out if they wish to attract someone. As we have seen there's been no end of people willing to take the job so the LMA's arguement or warning was futile. And, besides, this has nothing to do with them. This is a legitimate business run in a legal manner by Ashley and that's the end of the matter.
