For anyone interested. This is from W Hill. There are others but I don`t know whether they gives places. This one does e/w at 1/4 odds for 1,2,3,4. This is how they finished last season 1 Chelsea 87 2 Manchester City 79 3 Arsenal 75 4 Manchester United 70 5 Tottenham Hotspur 64 6 Liverpool 62 7 Southampton 60 8 Swansea City 56 9 Stoke City 54 10 Crystal Palace 48 11 Everton 47 12 West Ham United 47 13 West Bromwich Albion 44 14 Leicester City 41 15 Newcastle United 39 16 Sunderland 38 17 Aston Villa 38 This is the extra points `start` as per W Hill 16/1 Man City +2 15/1 Arsenal +6 15/1 Man Utd +7 15/1 Liverpool +15 15/1 Tottenham +21 15/1 Southampton +27 12/1 Everton +29 15/1 Swansea +35 18/1 West Ham +35 12/1 Stoke +37 12/1 Crystal Palace +39 15/1 Newcastle +39 18/1 Aston Villa +42 14/1 West Brom +42 12/1 Leicester +44 14/1 Bournemouth +45 15/1 Sunderland +45 15/1 Norwich +46 16/1 Watford +48 This is how they would have finished with those handicaps. I haven`t got last seasons figures so obviously this could be a mile out but might serve as a rough guide. I suppose it`s a question of how much better we think we`ll do compared to the others (to bet on ourselves as improved) or whether to bet on another team to make progress. The bookies don`t give us much chance atm but we still have transfers to come (??) What do you lot think. Anyone worth a flutter?
With Wickham? Stoke look a decent shout, genuine mid table. Probblies why only 12/1. Got to be a big improvement in us though after last seasons shambles.
Thinking about a small wager on us on W Hill. (That extra point could make all the difference.) We look to have an improved team and even on a few league places higher that`s a very good handicap.
Might manage a florin e/w. SC SAFC`s shout on Stoke looks good aswell. Steady mid table team, finished 16 points above us and +35 looks quite generous.
You don't know what others are going to do but if we get the players in by deadline day and make the most of our reasonable start, I think we'll exceed those very low expectations!
