Take a look at our line up on Saturday.....how many leaders where on the pitch?

They're all quiet lads. No shouters or players barking orders.....

Now look at the players who have left for a number of reasons; Carra, Agger, Gerrard, Reina, Suarez....

Am not saying that these players shouldn't have left...perhaps it was the right time for them to go and some we couldn't have kept.....but it is really clear that Rodgers doesn't buy players with a little something about them....a bit of attitude.....a bit of leadership...

I'd like to understand, for example, why Lovren get's picked ahead of Sahko every week.......is Sahko that bad?? <yikes>

As time goes on, BR appears more like the lad on the field who decides who can play because it's 'his ball'

Is my dislike for BR and everything he stands for reading to much into this!?!? <laugh>

  2. Said this last year, especially when the topic of who the captain should be came up. We severely lack leaders all over the pitch. Migs does dominate or command the defence. Skrtel is the most senior but he's never been a leader, he's a moaner. Lovren? <laugh> toure can do it but we'd be better off playing Bambi at the back! Sakho can apparently do it but seems to lack confidence (hardly surprising) and there is the language barrier too. Milner leads by example (at times), Hendo too. Can, Coutinho and Firmino are all as quiet as mice! Benteke, Studge, Lallana, Moreno or Allen? <laugh> Who else is there? Only ones I've not named are Flanno and Lucas, neither are exactly captain material.

We don't have a captain, never mind leaders!

I do think there is an element of dictatorship with Rodgers which I think is one of the reasons he let Gerrard go.

Uncomfortable with his power in the dressing room, at the club and with the fans.

It could well be Rodgers doesn't like strong personalities. He himself is a snuggle bunny and just seems to complimentary and unable to enforce discipline.

Gerrard walked all over Rodgers last few seasons putting himself on the teamsheet when it was clear he didn't deserve the spot. Rodgers appears unable to control strong characters and so probably prefers fellow snuggle bunnies.

Actually, he probably has 12 inches (when deflated) his personality isn't one of someone who has to compensate elsewhere.

Brendan will probably become a pronstar when we sack him.

Milner is not a leader. He simply runs around and works hard. That's not leadership. We need leaders who can do more. Even Can was screaming and waving at players.

Sakho is the only leader here at the club (who is likely to play because Toure won't). Watch him last season and he was constantly talking to those around him and guiding them through the game.

But simply put, Rodgers doesn't know what a leader is. In his own mind, he thinks its someone who simply works hard on and off the pitch.
