So it appears Adam LF has handed in a transfer request to push through a move to a club in a higher division. Hopefully this means he will be gone by Saturday and wont be able to play against the Gills?

That would be great news if we don't have to put up with him.

His goal scoring record is excellent....similar to Grant Holt who after a couple of years in lower divisions made the transition. I'm sure he'd do well in any division given the support.

I read a report earlier (which I cannot find now) but with a year left on his contract, I read it as though Rotherham are not happy and would not let him go until they got a replacement?

everyone going on about him and his "apprent move" to us, Bristol City for 800,000+ as a replacement to our outgoing star man Nicky Maynard, my question is, is this bloke any good?!

I expect Rotherham will sell him and his replacement will be Cody.

vinney - I can't see that one happening tbh, nothing suggesting it cannot, I'm just looking at what has happened so far.

I would guess that Le Fondre will probably sell somewhere between 400 - 600k (pure guess), we know from reports, that Norwich have turned down several offers near the 600k mark. Also I have to hold the belief in regards to what many fans are stating on other message boards...Cody is coming to us on Loan, with a fixed fee at the end of the season, I can't see how that one is going to work but that view has been message boarded several times!

Now maybe we shouldn't listen to rumours but that is no different to the one's surrounding Le Fondre - deadline day is going to be very interesting to say the least.

Wouldn't it be fantastic if it was Christmas come early on 1st., September, with the main feast coming from Norfolk - it definitely wouldn't be a turkey but one hell of a cracker...... Please Santa

Did well while he was at Rochdale a few seasons back, but upset a few people when he left (I think he was out of contract and turned down a new contract offer, but stand to be corrected on that) as he though he was worthy of a club in a higher division..... there were, perhaps justifiable opinions that he was just getting a bit too big for his boots, and nobody here is shedding many tears that he's now plying his trade in a division lower than the one Rochdale are now in.

Seems like the same thing's happening again, but if you haven't got ambition .....

He's a handful, and a capable goalscorer at L1 / L2 level. Whether he will ever make the step up to a higher level than that is open to debate, and will depend on a club willing to give him that opportunity. I'd certainly question a valuation of 800k, but could well be worth 400k if someone is prepared to take a bit of a punt on 3 year contract in the hope that he develops further so they can also turn a profit in the longer term. I do think he's not yet the finished article, and capable of further development in the right team with the right coach.
