Lazy Bastard XI

An idea came to me when posting a comment on another thread about how dreadfully lazy Woe-zil is for Arsenal, and how Wenger spunked £42 million on him, and it got me thinking of what a Lazy Bastard XI would look like?

These are players that immediately spring to my mind.

Get your thinking caps on, lads, and let's see if we can compile a team of the laziest players ever to have (dis)graced the beautiful game!

 

For a central midfielder i always think Barry Banana looks particular lazy.

 

Yaya Toure, Ronaldinho, Robinho, virtually every top Brazilian player once they pass their mid-twenties actually and Le Tissier.

 

Good luck finding a keeper for this team

Good calls! Southall will be the one. Decided his best plan was to fill the goal so that nothing could get through.

 

Problem is most of them are attackers... Darren Bent, Podolski, VDV, Ozil, Arshavin, Mido etc

Back four players generally cannot get away with laziness (tis the nature of the beast) .

 

Huddlestone played Centre Back on occasion? Even though I am a big fan, ground covering was not his strong point.

I'd replace Yaya with Pirlo, always saw Yaya as a box-to-box midfielder and thus I'd say he's far from lazy, Pirlo on the other hand is so good that he literally stands in a pocket of space and sprays the ball out to whoever he wants.
