I'm a bit obsessed with Lawro's predictions simply because he always predicts saints will lose. We'd be a non league team by now if all his predictions were correct. I too share your concern that he is predicting a saints wins. He must really hate Di Canio and / or Sunderland

Lawro does get it right sometimes, he always seems to do better than the guest predictor. If he wants to change track and start backing us to win I'm all for it, not that it actually matters much at the end of the day. Oh, and I think you mean "psychology" rather than "physiology" by the way!
Lawro does get it right sometimes because occasionally only a fool would predict otherwise. And Lawro, while he may be something else, is no fool. However, he is not without bias [look at his Villa v Liverpool prediction - would you predict that..?], which shows his weakness. I think his indecision about Di Canio is reasonable, if downright provocative and rude, but we'll see. Saints 2-0. 3-0, or 3-1 for me.
On the contrary, I have never been concerned with what he thinks and I doubt I ever will be. It mystifies me why so many people on here give so much attention to his predictions.
Think it's the same reason I check oddschecker even though I don't bet and I know it means very little other than an estimate of what the betting public think. I want everyone to think we are going to win...so far odds, Lawrenson, and Sky pundits think we will, so I am happier. Not logical, but there you are.
That's fair enough, it just baffles me that people get so agitated by the opinion of one pundit. Nobody comes on here and says "the bookies think we will lose, what a bunch of idiots!", but people post about Lawro every single week whether he predicts we will win, lose or draw.
I agree with you I have no more interest in lawro's predictions than I do a random bloke in a pub. That said its a football fans lot in life to find mention of their team and prick ears up, myself included
I think you must also take into consideration Lawro's 'bafoon' status amongst most footall fans. Let's face it, he should have been put out to pasture years back from his TV duties and he has become a bit of a joke on MOTD. This is partly why people jump on his predictions. I prefer to remember him as an excellent CB, years ahead of his time.

Oh dear.....It seems I'm going out to be a bit controversial as I forecast a draw......Di Canio is going to park the bus lads, you can almost depend on it, unless he gets a breakaway then he will park the bus. Smash and grab that's his motto....
Well that's a fair point, and most of the time I don't read them, but occasionally my bewilderment gets the better of me.
