I thought this seemed like a fair shout from 'Promoted Team Hater' Lawrenson. It would be a good result in my mind. "Gary Cahill has completed his move from Bolton and could make his Chelsea debut but this Blues team is still very much a work in progress, no doubt about that. Not so long ago, when their results weren't great, people were sceptical whether Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas was going to be allowed to change things the way he wanted to but now he is going to be there until at least the end of the season, and probably a lot longer. From Villas-Boas' point of view, he can look to build and perhaps change Chelsea into a more mobile team than they have been for the last 18 months. I still think it will be an achievement for Chelsea to finish fourth this season - and I see it as a straight fight between them and Arsenal for fourth place. And I don't see them picking up three points on Saturday, because Norwich have got great belief at home. The Canaries keep coming up with impressive results and you know Carrow Road will be rocking for a big game like this.Prediction: 1-1"
1-1 is what I have gone for so this week i have to agree with Lawro (as painful as it is to admit it ) I think we do have a really good chance of a point and if lucky more. Not saying Chelsea are there for the taking as I would never be that disrespectful but they are not Chelsea of a few years ago and have been prone to the odd bizarre result.
i take lawro predicting a favourable result for us as a bad omen. I much prefer it when he dismisses us out of hand, thats when i know we will get something.
Maybe he's high...i have a feeling that torres will score and it'll be 3-2 to Chelsea, yet we will get good reviews in the media, my prediction
someone said the other day that if you added up all lawro's predictions for us over the season so far we'd be on about 12 points. you simply cannot take anything he says seriously!
You can see it here http://www.myfootballfacts.com/Mark_Lawrensons_Predictions_2011-12.html And yes he certainly doesn't like us! From the stats it seems Lawro has a 1/10 chance of predicting the score right... Not great odds!
thanks rob! more points than i thought then!! i wonder why he thinks wolves are so good...? and he hates newcastle
As I say almost every week. If he predicts a win we will most likely lose. If he predicts a defeat we will most likely win.
DM, they should beat us but that doesn't mean they will. Look what happened to them at Loftus Road! Despite having more than their fair share of the ball when down to 9 men they still could not score. All teams have an off day, some more than others. if Chelsea have an off day we can beat them (or any other team that doesn't perform to their best on the day)
although it's interesting to read in terms of what he says about respective clubs, he's hardly prolific at these as after all - it's a prediction from a biased pundit usually he gets the result wrong with us
