... that's how I think his mind works anyhow. Let's face it, the only time he's been correct recently was predicting a loss against QPR, a flukey result if there ever was one.

Yes, he's predicting 2-1 to Reading. OK, it's close, but in the game he's playing, being close isn't good enough most of the time. You have to get the result correct by looking at the evidence, and he appears to have no belief in the evidence at all. To be honest, I don't believe in him either.

Even his guest is being a little more realistic, I feel, with a draw. That, at least seems a fair prediction given the relative form of each team and the venue.

Only wish the Beeb would let us comment at BBC Football: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/22029253

I must beg of you and everyone else on here just to pay no mind to the fool. Much like Joey Barton or Richard Littlejohn, his opinion just isn't worth all the attention it gets.

Exactly what I think. We've been underestimated throughout the season and I think people are now starting to see how good we are!

And if I didn't start a thread about it someone else probably would before Saturday. There are many fools around and we either take notice of them or not. Today, I took notice of one. Tomorrow I may not. Besides, if we didn't talk about the things foolish people say and do, half of the communication in the World would end.

I agree with Joe, although I wouldn't put him in the same category as Littlejohn(!), Lawrenson's opinion is not worth anywhere near the attention it gets on here.

God no, but the same sentiment applies: don't listen to him and he might go away.

They are strong going forward which is why I always fancied they would be OK. He writes this yet always has us to lose, what a tool. I am thinking our defensive unit (including Cork and Morgan) are now on a par with our offensive unit.

I just find it bizarre how he thinks we will be fine and yet hardly ever predicts us to win.

They taught me that you don't capitalise words like "a", "at", "in", "to", "be", etc. I'm unsure on what the rule should be for forum posts though, as they seem less informal to me, and some people just use them as an introduction rather than a header.

Oooooh, another pre-match Lawrenson thread. What a surprise.

Quite correct Joe. But the title is meant to be the thoughts of Lawro. Therefore, every word is a jewel. Or I'm sure he'd like to think so. :)

Ha, interesting justification. I can't say I've put any thought into this before now, but if pushed I would probably say the uncapitalised titles hit the eye better. Also if you go on Google News or Reddit, you'll notice they don't tend to capitalise theirs either. And I've just checked the threads I've made in the past and I didn't do it either, so for the sake of me not having been wrong all this time, I'm going to have to say "screw you, English teachers".

I am going to defend Lawro here. There are plenty of reasons why Reading might win, after all they cannot afford to lose so it will be a throw everything at them type of game. Secondly, Adkins knows our players (strengths and weaknesses) inside out having trained with them for two years and how often do old managers come back and haunt sides. I would not be surprised if Reading got something from this game and we all know how difficult football predictions are. Still more worrying is the fact that Garth Crooks, who constantly thinks we are lucky, thinks we will win :s.

I'm not mocking so much Lawro saying Reading will win. I'm mocking the fact this would be 15 in a row and our 23rd loss out of 32 games.
