Yep - we've got almost double the points that Lawro forecast for us. <laugh>

Much the same as he did for us last season, if I remember correctly.

He has got the Top 4 teams correct (if not completely in the right order) - but hey, surely that is the "easy" bit!

what an absoloute clown! He is just a cut-and-paste hack, says the same things every week and predicts a Swansea loss regardless. Been doing it ever since we came up. I know it's fashionable to knock him but the BBC's purpose is to promote education and learning, and stimulate creativity and cultural excellence. Quite where lawrenson's incessant moaning fits in, is anyone's guess! Just don't get me started on Robbie savage.......

He clearly has his favourites and unfancied teams. Comparing the 2 tables on the guy's site (why on earth would anyone waste so much of their time analysing Lawro's predictions anyway?), his favourites are:

    Man City +15pts
    Everton +13 points
    Chelsea +12 points
    Man Utd + 11 points

    and to a lesser extent:
    Sunderland +8 pts
    Hull +7 pts

The teams he gets wrong most in the opposite direction are:

    Swansea -18 points
    West Ham -11 points
    Stoke -10 points
    Tottenham -10 points

Do we really care? We shouldn't.

One would think that he could see where he's going wrong and change his mind for the next week's predictions, but it's most odd that he puts us down as banker losers almost every week, seeing as we've never dropped below 9th in the table all season.

It started off with 'rookie manager - they will struggle' and then it became 'Bony has gone - they will struggle'.

Nothing wrong in those assumptions, but I agree you would think he might modify his mindset somewhat. I think he has it in his head that Swansea will start their slide down the table this week...ok, next week...well it must be this week then if it didn't happen in the last two weeks. And the predicted losses keep coming.

I think he is miffed because we tucked up his beloved Pool getting 15 million for Joe.

Just had a thought- Ki, Jonjo and Cork cost us 15.5 million would not swap any of them for Joe.

Sorry Cork only cost 3 million.

Oh boy, his predictions for us me laugh. His league predictions would have us 19th in the table!
I think George Ford will wipe the floor with him this week. Agree with George's predictions far more strongly than ol'Mullet-Head.

    First he says
"Swansea's win over Manchester United last week will give them real belief, just when I was thinking that they might drop like a stone. That game said as much about Swansea as it did about United and bodes well for the rest of the season for Garry Monk's side."

    Then predicts
    Burnley 2 - 1 Swansea

A genuine, top four, premier league ****er.

While his logic and predictions annoy me greatly, I've actually put 2-1 Burnley on my Super 6 predictions this week. It's the kind of game that we seem to struggle in this season, and Burnley, despite hardly picking up wins, play with high tempo and pressure and have capable goalscorers, which we've not dealt with that well of late.

However, I'm not saying I agree with Lawrenson because my prediction is the same. He has zero-logic when making his predictions. He speaks so highly of the Swans and then puts us to lose...again. If he actually gave some real insight into the trends and performances of teams, rather than an opinion akin to John Smith down the pub on Friday night after a few too many, people would respect him. That will never happen though, so the sooner he's given the boot, the better.

To be honest Trunds, I think they're all at it. The number of articles (in nationals as well) that I've seen circulating on social media sites days prior to making the papers. And they treat it as breaking news!!
