I seem to recall Lawell being condemned and accused of mischeif making when he wanted rangers ticket money up front ; bet these other clubs wished they had done the same now http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17053419
The Huns hate him with a passion. They were on about slashing his throat open on RangersMedia the other day The Huns on here were slating Lawell for asking for the money up front and saying it was just him being a dick. Looks now like Pete never trusted ****ey Whytey one iota and made sure Celtic got their money.
Yeah, Pistol Pete looked a right dick for asking for money and then getting it. 1-0 to the Whyte knight
Aye but in their logic all SPL teams will get paid when Rangers feel like it, not when they're due it. I believe they take the same attitude to tax......
Rangers should be hounded by everyone, including the press, until they pay these bills to other Scottish clubs. Every home team v Rangers from now until the end of the season should demand payment up front and if the payment is not forthcoming the match abandoned and three points awarded to the home team. Let's see how quickly they pay up when they realise that they're in danger of slipping down to 4th or 5th in the league and missing out on Europe altogether.
Rangers fans on Rangers media are calling Dundee utd for everything for not giving any tickets to Rangers for the up coming game at Tannadice . Your club has just screwed utd for 100,000 , let's give them another batch of tickets to do it again!! As for Inverness let's hope they have the balls to lock them out the game , rangers have the money for the tickets for that game
There are rules against banning away fans for league games (guess whose idea that was???). United can bar Rangers fans for fear of loss of payment cos it's a cup game - no revenue is due to the visiting side for league games, I thought.
I was going to post something similar ... Well done Lawwell - accused of mischief making but it was just good business sense ...
Dundee Utd haven't banned the huns from attending. They just want them to buy the tickets directly from Utd rather than Rangers. Makes perfect sense given the circumstances and it's a policy all clubs should adopt with Rangers now and in the future.
http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/2012/0...dice-over-unpaid-ticket-money-86908-23753158/ According to the Record (I know), United don't want to sell to them at all
I'm also assuming that any clubs who are playing Rangers and the game is on SKY will be asking SKY to pay them rather than Rangers?
Dundee Utd are quite right for trying to not sell tickets to Rangers fans. The Rangers fans have made no attempt to distance themselves from the con man that owns the club. Before that lot are allowed into any stadium in Scotland they need to prove their disagreement and hatred of Whyte. Every other club need to take responsibility to cut the cancer out of the Scottish game.
