Caolan Lavery has been recalled by Sheffield W......they have activated a 24hr clause in his contract...which has only just started. That is the problem with loan deals.......what if Yeovil decide to take Reid back....would he be gone so easy....depends I expect on the small print. At least Jason Banton is an Argyle player thankfully.
There will be lots of angst and gnashing of teeth over this plym I've no doubt. However, how many of those same people were crying loud and long about loanees previously. Not the way to do it was the shout. Well this is one loanee problem solved and they can't have it both ways. This was a better loan than most it's true in that he scored and played well as opposed to the opposite of that which is more usual for us. We have Banton in his place. Proved he could do the business last time he was here and was another loanee who stole the show. We have done what loads were calling for. Signed one on proper instead of borrowing so the protests about Lavery should be quite muted. I think we have a season long loan on Reid so recall may not be an option. More a case of his contract being run down with us paying the wages I think.
