It looks like Michael Laudrup is set to be named as the new manager of Swansea City. I find this very interesting. Firstly because it gives Swansea a big name in football. But also because of the rumours that Laudrup was in some way advising our owners during our manager search, which resulted in us appointing former Swansea manager Brendan Rogers.

Laudrup is also one of the names link with us over the manager and director positions.

I am very interested to see what kind of relationship builds between us and Swansea over the coming months and years.

All players coming to the end of admittedly very good careers and not forgotten by a lot of us (Tommy Smith what a defender ),Jan Molby another ex player .Laudrup is a gamble for the club(if the rumours are true) but one worth taking ,he'll fit in and with a superlative playing career I can't imagine not many players couldn't learn something from him .exciting times

i find the whole michael laudrup thing very interesting. I am in no doubt he was a great player but his record as a manager is one that suggest there were not that many clubs beating his door down.

I'd encourage the swans not to get carried away but i do hope they continue to play good football and kick on in the prem. Hopefully they keep sigi as well so there no bad feeling whatsoever between clubs.

  9. You could also say a lot of managers have a poor record to begin with before becoming great. I suspect you may be right on this occasion though pal <ok>

I think us Jacks are much happier now that the manager vacancy is taken and by who most of us wanted . Laudrup will suit us well as our fantastic chairman knows how our team ticks, so we go into the new season with a lot more confidence plus he may have some very good connections to attract even more talent to our squad/back room staff etc..

So it`s eased the blow of losing whats his name plus the £7m was very nice too thanks !
I think our relationship can continue to be a good one and iff you have any top quality spare players kicking thier heels we may consider you as another feeder club as you do us, win win eh ! <cheers>

Even though i obviously want us to beat your team as you are still a big scalp to us and we have a point to prove to a few of your new lads, I`m sure quite a few of us Jacks would wish you Good luck for the season ahead and i hope you eventually get back up top in the mix where you belong .

We are good at picking up managers who are on their buttocks, ask Rodgers! But this one is a big buttock, we are giving a helping hand to, and I'm sure Laudrup in return will strengthen our passing game, and give us the clinical edge up front, we missed last season on times. when we've had six points of you this season, then we'll talk relationship building!.................... <cheers>

Brendan rodgers could not get a job in his local NCP car park now look at him, martinez or rodgers would not be where they are now if not for Swansea City, now laudrup should be ready in 2 seasons for you and he will cost you £15m cash, we will give you first refusal can't be fairer than that.

If you want the back room staff an extra 5m will do us nicely
