Lekhwiya, in Qatar, on a one-year deal. I know nothing of the club, but I'm not expecting to browse through the internet to find an active forum and put myself up as mikraLekhwiya...

Despite all that has gone on here, in time he Will go down as one of the best managers we have ever had.

Good luck to him, some of the best moments in our 100 yr history were down to him plain and simple.

Agree the record shows him as our best manager ever, a wonderfully gifted player and a very good manager, I wish him all the best for the future.

Interesting that it's only a year contract.

I reckon there wasn't a job on the table that interested him so he decided to earn the big bucks in the sunshine for a year. Will probably be back in Europe again next year if the right job comes along.

Good Luck Michael Laudrup, you did great things for us including signing players for next to nothing (who it was reported were offered more money elsewhere) as well as masterminding tactical victories away at Liverpool and Chelsea to win our first ever major trophy...you developed Ben Davies and Wayne Routledge....you always took defeats on the chin and accepted responsibility, never blaming the players....you managed us to famous away victories at Arsenal, Manchester United and Valencia....you left us with 2 great goalscorers (Michu and Bony)....and added masses of value to our squad.

Lakhwiya Football Club is the most modern club that was recently founded in the State of Qatar, exactly in 2009. The club was officially established and started at the championship of the Second League. The most important event that was proved by Lakhwiya Club is that it upgraded itself to the championship of the First League immediately at its first season after foundation.

During the move it was performing perfectly in accordance with all the regulations related to Qatar federation. Since it was established, Lakhwiya Club has been creating great reputation, generally in all sports and particularly in the field of football. The club management has been working hard to encourage and motivate youth starting from grassroots to make them enroll the field of sports through sponsor them so that it can build strong generation to the state of Qatar.

During the sport season of 2009 – 2010, the club has made two great achievements, obtaining the league championship three weeks before the end as well as achieving the second position of the championship of the second league. We, the management of the club have great ambitions in the field of sports, for which we are working hard to achieve them. We try to create bright future for our generations through giving them more opportunities in both areas, locally and internationally

Heartening to see such positivity being expressed towards the great man. And he IS a great man.

Swansea City were extremely fortunate to have him at The Club,in any capacity, and he only ever had the best interests of The Club at heart.

So good luck,Mr.L. hope you are happy and successful in your new position.

Now we can all get behind Mr.Garry Monk. I sense an air of optimism, which I hope translates to results on the pitch.

Prices of gasoline already 0,35 kr down and dropping further. Two camels sighted in central Copenhagen, plans for building another mosque, where the current city hall is situated, have suddenly been pushed forward (tomorrow 20000 builders from Nepal will show up).

Laudrup tends to go for short contracts doesnt he?

2 yr deal at the swans was a correct judgement in hindsight, in fairness he extended to protect the club, which was why it was only fair and proper he got paid up when we sacked him .

Im sure all swans fans Will wish him the best . Like ive maintained here and elsewhere, he Will only be fully apreiciated as time moves on .

Wonder if he Will Poach monk to work as assistant coach ?...<laugh>
