Right now (1.30 pm Tuesday 4th Dec.) I don't intrude that often these days but thought you might like to tune in if you can. Sky are at the training ground all day and will be filming the training session at 2.00pm. Laudrup was interviewed just now and the gist of it: 1: Don't talk about where I'll be in three years time because I don't know. 2: Michu does more than score goals. Work rate is huge. 3: Britton fits into Swansea's style of play but is the type of player that would struggle in a different system. 4: Loves being in Wales as he can identify with a small country coming from Denmark. 5: Beating Arsenal was great ("that's why you guys are here today") but 1st half WBA was the best we've played. May update the thread later. Update: Jenkins was interviewed and the main points: 1: We will look to strengthen the squad in January and next summer. Funds are available. 2: Not aiming for top 6. HJ didn't say so but the vibe was that he felt that was unrealistic. Update: Vorm was interviewed:[I missed the early part so not sure if asked about when he's going to be fit] 1: We are improving all the time. No reason we can't do better than 7th. 2: To remain competitive we need to strengthen here and there. 3: Would recommend any footballer who loves to play to come to Swansea. Update: Leon: 1: We are much more attacking this year. That's the difference. 2: Michu is the Prem signing of the season. So cool in front of goal. Love playing alongside him. 3: We deserved the win Saturday. No smash and grab. Final update: Michu (His English isn't bad considering he couldn't speak any a few months ago): 1: We had more chances than Arsenal and deserved the win. 2: Van Persie and Suarez are great players and I'll try to keep up with them but it will be difficult. 3: It's no good me scoring if the team loses. Winning is the most important thing. I'm very happy here.
Thanks, KJ. Interesting comments not least about Leon. He might think it but to publicly state it, is very strange. Perhaps he is trying to deter any would-be suitors.
Hi KJ - how's it going. Will listen later from on-line later - thanks for the notice. 1: He's deflects well and doesn't get drawn into question that have no immediate relevance - I think he'll still be here. 2: Michu is worth his weight in gold. The first against Arsenal was just like his second against QPR in terms of the left foot curl fade into the top corner - as soon as he got into that position I was jumping up and down. 3: We should all realize this - Sheff Utd proof on that. 4: See (1) ... he's sticking around - we do right by him, I think he'll do right by us. There are probably only two clubs he would otherwise like to manage - Barca and Madrid. 5: The WBA line-up is probably going to be his preferred going forward if he can get everybody healthy at the same time.
I hope he's being cautious to control hype. I don't like to see that sort of thinking. If you set your own ceiling you'll never let yourself be in a position to break through it.
May be my misinterperetation, YJ but he sort of poo-pooed the idea of top 6 when it was put to him. I suspect as you say he's only controlling the hype. I'm glad the PL has become more like the Championship in that anyone can beat anyone these days. If I'm right then anything is possibe.
This looks like being a vintage season in the Prem. Everyone can lose a game here or there, lots of surprises in store...
Two enjoyable interviews. Huw's comments about our final placing echoed the gist of what he said to me when we spoke at training recently. Both he and Laudrup are being sensibly reserved about things. Did anyone notice the faintest trace of a Welsh accent creeping into Michael Laudrup's speech, or is it just me?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AHdG1dk7mJk&feature=player_embedded#! Leon and Michu's interview today,
Thanks for posting the links, guys. As Laudrup rightly said I doubt we'd have had Sky down for the day if not for the Arsenal result. The commentator was very complimentary about the welcome and the access they were given yesterday. This is just the sort of thing that clubs need to do well.
Assuming Michu weighs around 11 stone, and with the price of gold currently $1,700/oz, that would make him worth around £2.6 million. Are you sure about that? LOL.
