Yeh, I was a little dissapointed with this aswell. The age thing is a real concern, but this may be driven by the fact that he is cheap and TP's budget seems very likely to be reduced - due to his excellent spending over the last 4 years!

I see we are also being heavily linked with Owen. Class as he is (and I still think he has got it), I just cant see him being utilised by TP - probably used as an impact sub sto support Walters. Our strike force is probably OK if we played it right (Jerome & Crouch) with Walters in support and purchased or developed an young replacement for the outgoing Fuller!

Neutral fans all think he's doing a super job, even if they won't admit it! We all hate playing Stoke!
 
I suppose its similiar to alot of clubs. Unless you see every kicked ball and read every comment in the local press its difficult to get a true understanding of the way the club is run and the quality of our play. I would say the fans are divided on TP but all are very grateful for what he has achieved, especially in our 1st prem season. The facts are that after 90 million spent (3rd highest Net spending team) it was statistically our worse and we definatley played our worse football! We are a strange team that is so close to top 10, yet so close to relegation, the last few season there has only been a game or two in it!

Alot of us Stoke fans dont understand the critiscism other managers get either! Horses for Courses.
