There is only one Ale Faurlin, he's having a great season so far. He maybe the key player as to whether we get a result v Stoke. Nice one Roller.

Has irony reached your part of the universe DT?

It is the other mod who questions his ability.

Ironic that. Reckoned Lucas was a bit of a donkey too in first couple of seasons with Liverpool.

Big improvements since. Not just positioning and ball winning. Much tidier distribution overall, especially in setting up attacking phases. Does Lucas take free kicks on goal? Don't think he does.

Rest assured Brix, the irony is not lost on us. I had Lucas down as utterly useless when I seen him first.

Col: No point reiterating the opinions that wind you up... they're implicit in my observations on Lucas.

Faurlin has made 486 passes in opposition half this season. Only 2 other Prem players have made more. #QPR

Faurlin made a great pass yesterday - to Traore to cross for Helguson's power headed goal.

Blinding - more like that please Ali. Are there stats for assisting an assist?

He's a good player, no doubt, and one of our best this season, and last, but he's nowhere near as good as some on here make out.

Yes, he has a nice touch, can tackle a bit and plays it simple, but he doesn't beat players, play killler balls or shoot/score anywhere near enough to be considered in even the top 20 midfielders in the Premiership.

Top lad though, and I hope he comes good - he's just not there yet.

His performance yesterday was a bit of a curate’s egg. A played a great pass to Traore for the first goal, showed his usual array of nice touches and always made himself available when we had the ball, but seemed to get by-passed too easily in the hurly-burly when Stoke had possession, looked a little hesitant in defence and some of his tackling was weak. In pre-season I described him as looking like a little lost boy and at times yesterday he looked that way again, hopefully this was solely down to the Stoke play their football.
