What has Jay Simpson been doing since 2012 ??

He was a very exciting prospect a few short years ago from what I remember.

The club need to use the monies from AA wisely, but we do need a striker urgently.

Jay Simpson was in the Hull squad that got promoted to the premiership but had a falling out with the manager I think I read somewhere back in Jan or Feb.

There was no falling out, Jay just isn't Premier League quality. He's alright in the Championship, and I suspect he'd do very well in League One. Simpson is good at all aspects of attacking play other than scoring goals. He holds it up well, wins many aerial battles considering he's not the tallest and creates many chances for those around him, he just doesn't score many on his own. You may remember it was his combination with Sone Aluko to score the first at your place when we played you, that showed his great link up play but if the ball had fallen to Simmo rather than Aluko, odds are we wouldn't have scored.

Jay Simpson is a strange one. Sometimes he has flashes of brilliance, and sometimes he can't score for ****. A part of me would love to see him join us, and for SOD to turn him into a goal machine.

A part of me would love to see us go for Gedion Zelalem, the kid who has been tearing Arsenal's pre-season games apart. He's being tipped as the next Fabregas, and I reckon that at this level he'd get a ton of game time and would tear the league apart.

Thank you I was sure I'd read there was a falling out but I will bow to your better local knowledge.

Sky Sports understands that former Reading and Bristol City midfielder Kalifa Cisse has left MLS club New England Revolution by mutual consent ahead of a possible move back to England.

Middlesbrough boss Tony Mowbray insists he is not finished in the transfer market and wants to add a striker to the capture of Albert Adomah. Adomah has signed a three-year deal at the Riverside and Boro are expected to announce his arrival on Wednesday

From what I've read they thought Cisse wasn't cut out for that level. A lot of people slate MLS, but I reckon it's at least on par with the Championship in most areas. The only area where it is lacking is in tactics and in defensive ability.

I reckon Cisse might consider coming back, if SOD was interested in him. I wouldn't take him on high wages though; I reckon SOD could probably find someone younger and better for this level.

Jordan Wynter reminds me off a younger Cisse calm and just breaks up play, not saying I want Cisse back or don't want him back but we did not half miss him last year.

I don't want to see Cisse in a City shirt again. Hawk got it right. Pack and Wynter are already better replacements.
